Kobushi nods in understanding. "Well, with any luck, me or one of your other friends will be around so you don't have to get your hands dirty."
At which point, the robots start taking swings at them. The weapons are ordinary practice weapons, unlikely to cause serious injury. Still, they'd hurt if they make contact. The Daiodji goes for a swing with the busted table leg, but the machine swats it aside. The defense options seem to have been turned on.

Ichiro wandered in a few minutes after the others. He was dressed in his usual work out attire.
"Oh hey guys what's all this?" He hadn't seen the notice about the class and had just shown up to do some tai chi and maybe a bit of yoga. But this looked way more fun.

"There was something on the bulletin board about using every day items to defend yourself, so I decided to stop in. Same Togashi Noname sensei that taught that self defense class. He's an enigmatic one."

"I mean he didn't really teach self defense he told us to practice moves out of the book. So far as this school goes he seems to be a pretty poor sensei." Ichiro says as he grabs a big wrench and hefts it with two hands. "Seems like it could be fun though."

"That sounds like a pretty bad class," Kobushi comments. "Or a really strange way of teaching. Now I wonder if he's the missing adviser for the Boxing Club."

Momiko shrugs, "I didn't even know we HAD a boxing club. Wonder if the guy has an office or anything like that? I know he is on the staff roster on the website."

"The adviser never showed up," Kobushi recalls. "Captaincy came down to two children of the Thunders slugging it out with each other. But I don't know if the whole 'no adviser' thing makes it unofficial."

"not sure, though it'd be nice to know since I'm using one of my club slots for it. I'm better off sticking to fight club if boxing club is going to be unofficial." Ichiro says an edge of annoyance in his voice.

Momiko shook her head, "It was on the list of officially recognized clubs, so you don't need to worry about that. I think the only thing an adviser really tends to do for a club is schedule any inter-school events. So I suppose that could be something to worry about."

Kobushi takes a swing, and finds that the table leg is more fragile than it looks. And doesn't break like a real table leg would. Probably a prop of some sort, he assumes.
"I suppose we could ask if we can get a different sensei. I mean, if this one never shows up, kind of hard for him to do his job."
