Aiko sighs and readies herself for a confrontation that may very well end in tears for all involved, knocking politely on the door to Otomo Katsumi 's office in the admin wing, hoping to catch the imperious Imperial in the office before classes have started. After all, this was the Mirumoto preparing to confront the Otomo about sleeping with a student and now having concerns about the Otomo's mental wellbeing. Of course, if it had been even a day before, she wouldn't be confronting the Otomo on the matter and would have gone straight to the principal with the information, but due to the fact that this woman mattered to Priya, that the Badger wanted to try and help the woman, it spoke to something deeper going on and that meant that Aiko would do her due diligence and try and get Katsumi to seek help on her own. Now it only remained to be seen if the Otomo would accept the offered lifeline.

Otomo Katsumi walked up behind Mirumoto Aiko. "Hmmm Mirumoto-Sama did you have business with me?" She says walking past the dragon thunder and opening her door. To reveal a relatively untouched office. "I must say you have a certain degree of luck if you happened upon me on one of the few times I happen to be going to my office." She motions for the thunder to follow her as she enters her office chambers.

Aiko follows, "I do have business with you, yes. I recently had a conversation with a student which has given me reason to come to talk to you about a rather serious matter, Otomo-sama. And I always have been rather fortunate."

Otomo Katsumi shrugs her shoulders and takes a seat behind her desk. "Well then Mirumoto-sama say what you feel you must say." She folds her hands together. "I am quite curious what it is that brings you to my door."

Aiko stands, keeping her stance loose, "I should preface this by saying, if any retaliatory action is taken against the student who brought these concerns forward by you, I will make sure it is a decision you will regret in the next life. Having said that, I am aware that you have been having an inappropriate relationship with a student, Otomo-san, and normally, such activities would see me going straight to the principal. However, the student in question has expressed concern for your mental well-being, as they care about you, and were expressing such concerns in a way that wanted me to give you a chance to find actual professional help, instead of simply reporting you. She wants to help you, and honestly, I do not think the proper way for either of you to continue is in a romantic manner, at least not for a few years. However, I get the feeling she does genuinely want what is best for you, Otomo-san, so I would keep that in mind when considering what I am telling you. So, instead, I come to with an offer."
The Mirumoto looks calmly at the Otomo, "Get help, from a psychological professional and take it seriously, and try and maintain a proper and healthy relationship with this student, and I will forget I ever knew any of this. Because the student in question is very dear to me, and you are dear to her. If you do not, or if you retaliate against the student, as already stated, I will make my displeasure known and you will likely find yourself out of a job and shamed."

Otomo Katsumi merely raises an eyebrow when confronted with these accusations. Oh you always knew a relationship with dear Priya-Chan would cause problems. "You think I am in an inappropriate relationship with a student?" She chuckles and shakes her head. "Oh my, oh my. Tell me dear Mirumoto-Sama do you really believe these accusations?" She reaches onto her desk and grabs a nail file and begins casually filling away at her nails as though this whole accusation was an amusing trifle to her. "I am no fool who would jeopardize my position by doing anything with a student. She is a student who has an admiration for me. I saw it as an opportunity to guide a young student with potential. Nothing more, nothing less." She finally glances up at Mirumoto Aiko. "Mirumoto-Sama you needn't worry I will do nothing against the girl. She is young and still learning her way in the world." She shrugs her shoulders. "The folly of youth I am sure you have plenty of stories of your youth of things you did that you regret Mirumoto-Sama."

Aiko calmly looks at the Otomo, "You may be making light of the situation, Otomo-san, but I am serious. Because here is the thing. The student is not the one who brought this issue to my attention. I am inclined to believe this person. I confronted the student with the information and she told the truth. Now. I would recommend reconsidering the position you are taking, because I am trying to give you a tiny lifeline with which to save yourself by accepting the offer I put before you. You are not being told to abdicate your position as a teacher. You are not facing any loss of status or face. You are simply being asked to get some counseling and to take it seriously. Failure to follow this will result in the loss of position and status. It is a small thing being asked of you, and yet you are refusing to accept the offered help."

Otomo Katsumi sighs and stops filing her nails. "You are inclined to believe this person. Which speaks poorly of your own status." She tilts her head studying Mirumoto Aiko. "You question the word of an Otomo? You question my honor?" She frowns and leans forward in her desk. "I have no outside relationship with any student. I stake my honor and my word as an Otomo on this matter." She folds her hands together. "However you have the gall to accuse an Otomo otherwise? Tell me Mirumoto-Sama what makes you so special? Do you think it is your status as a thunder? That you can get away with making an accusation against an Otomo?" She narrows her eyes.

Aiko looks at the Otomo calmly, tilting her head, "You act like the Otomo are above the standards and expectations of other samurai. That, when there is sufficient evidence and testimony to misbehavior, you cannot be brought down. I do not consider myself someone special. I do consider myself bound by the same laws and expectations as you are. And while you may be giving your word of honor, I find that word suspect. After all, the very thing you are being accused of is gross dereliction of your duties as a sensei, and based on my observations previously of your conduct, I am willing to take the testimony and evidence presented to me to the proper authorities. One final time, I will make you this offer, Otomo-san, a gift to allow you to walk away from all this with your reputation and honor intact. After all, there is no shame in admitting you need help or advice."

Otomo Katsumi sighs and leans back in her chair. "What evidence do you have against me?" She looks over towards Mirumoto Aiko. "What gives you the right to challenge the word of an Imperial? My word is irreproachable. You call it suspect I wonder why that is?" She sighs and shakes her head. "Though I suppose this kind of behavior should be expected from someone who so resoundingly fails at her duty as a Samurai." She gives Mirumoto Aiko a pitying look. "How long do you intend to allow this blood feud to go on? You know the correct answer but I wonder if it is your own cowardice that prevents you from acting on it? Should a true samurai fear death as much as you clearly do?" She folds her hands together. "Your reputation can be so easily destroyed and you made out to be the villain. I wonder what would happen to your children when their mother's dishonor and shame is brought out for the world to see?"
