Yoshi seemed quick to help him, expecting nothing in return - the Prince smiled a genuine smile, happy to have a friend he could rely on like the Dragon.
"Well... the other day, Hinata invited me out to ride Ichiro Priya's motorcycle. While we were hanging out, Priya-san was flirting with Hinata pretty heavily right in front of me. Well, what really hurts me about it is that Hinata wasn't exactly discouraging her actions. I asked Priya-san not to do that pretty forwardly, so I am hoping that puts an end to any suspicions I may have had. But, I still have them..."
He clears his throats, fidgeting a bit uncomfortably with the collar of his shirt as he looks at Yoshi. "Towards the end of last summer, I was close to asking a girl to marry me. I found out she only wanted me for my money and position, and she even had a contingency plan to ride the fame she got for dating me into sinking her claws into another poor guy. She's still with him. I'm not trying to say Hinata is guilty of that, I don't think she is... but hat's where my feelings of inadequacy come from I suppose."
"I want to ask her about this, but when I do I'm just going to come off as a hypocrite. If I am going to spend my entire life with someone, I want it to be someone who wants me and only me. I'm not sure how to broach this with Hinata without coming off as accusatory, or unconfident, or overly suspicious. She's the only girl I have eyes for, but my position requires me to date other girls to find out who the best possible Empress should be.
"So how can I ask her to do that, how can I tell her that it breaks my heart when I think about Hinata looking at someone else like that? Not when I have to go out with two other women in the next few days. It just makes me feel like I'm the one who is being disloyal and dishonest. And I hate that more than anything."
