"You're her sister, right? You can probably do something," Ryuha tried to explain, unsure why Kikiri thought that. Ryuha's own siblings, at least some of them, could be pretty pushy with that kind of thing. But maybe Kikiri was a bit more like her, not one to really try and interject herself into a complicated situation.
"I mean, if you want to. Have you tried?"

"Maybe you just need to prove to he rthat you can get along fine on your own... maybe that is why she helped get you the phone." Ryuha offered her cousin an encouraging smile.
"From where I'm sitting, you're doing a pretty good job of that."

"You'll have to split up eventually though, right? I mean, someday you both will get married. It might be hard but maybe it is just preparing you both for when that day comes."

"I don't think you have to sever any bonds or something like that, Kikiri-san," Ryuha tried to explain. For some reason, she thought of two rivals in a shounen being separated - now mortal enemies. The characters always talked about bonds and stuff like that when it happened.
"You're... still family. You just might not be living together anymore when it does happen."

Ryuha tensed a bit awkwardly - she wasn't exactly comfortable with hugs and that kind of thing, but she got the feeling that her words had maybe gotten through to her cousin so she let it slide. Instead of hugging her back, she gave the fox girl a few awkward pats on the back.
