"Time..."
Hinata chuckled, though there was no mirth to it.
"...and we have to make the decision soon. ...I guess that's it, isn't it?"

"If I can help you get in contact with anyone, please let me know," Yoshinobu offered easily, before looking back to Hinata with a nod.

"Thank you, Prince Iweko-sama, if we truly need you to speak on our behalf, we will let you know, but please allow us the opportunity to attempt this first."

Hinata looked at Yoshinobu as he nodded, and her heart was crushed.
"Okay..."
Hinata swallowed, then started to cry again. She had been so close. So close to marrying the man she loved. So close to becoming empress. So close to finally having the wealth and power to help pull her family out of poverty. Yet she had ruined it all by telling the truth.
"We were so close, too..."
She sniffed back tears. No, she was not going to let it end like this. She had made a commitment to fight for it and she was damn well going to do so, Yori or no.
"...it doesn't have to be the end, does it? I-if we get it done quick enough, maybe..."

"Of course," he tells Hinata's parents, before turning his attention to the Kuni as she began to cry. All he can do is hold her, so he does so, wrapping his arms around Hinata again in an effort to try and comfort her once more. It probably did not help that everything Yori had advised her on had been somewhat true, not that Yoshinobu knew that.
"Just have faith, alright?" he paused, looking out to the pond. "Who all did you tell besides your parents and Nadeshiko-san? I have to speak with them."

Hinata cleared her throat, collecting herself. Have faith. Right. It was not over yet. There was still a chance so long as they both believed there was.
"The only other people who know are Kobushi-san and Yoshi-san. Nobody else."

"Good. I'll talk with them all then. I might need you to help set up a meeting with Kobushi-san and Nadeshiko-san, though. I want you to be there too, of course. Where did you tell them? Was there anyone else around at the time?"

Hinata winced.
"It was...in a temple. It was mostly empty though, and we went to an area in the back where we were sure nobody would hear. We...didn't expect it to get as loud as it did, though."
She growled.
"You can blame that part on Yori..."

"Okay, that much is good at least. I'm just trying to make sure we have all of our bases covered."
Yoshinobu closes his eyes and begins to inhale and exhale to center himself, trying to quickly work out any other contingencies or scenarios that could potentially play out. "Do you know when you are going back home yet Hinata?"

"No...my parents said it might take a while. Which is why I got worried. Hopefully we can get it done soon, if not..."
Hinata sighed.
"...Nadeshiko has a charm that she says can summon Otaku Kamoko. Maybe we could use that to get rid of Yori, she certainly offered but I turned her down. I suppose if it would help me get him out soon enough to make marriage a viable option, though, that could be a proper reason to use it...if I was Empress I could certainly help her family."
She shook her head, closing her eyes.
"Why am I thinking of politics at a time like this?"
