"Is that so? Maybe I should hire you for next year for the family picnic, so my daughter doesn't have to make so much food," she thinks out loud, pondering the possibilities. "But yes, your idea does sound good. And she would enjoy a home-cooked meal, even if I'm not the one preparing it. I'll pay you for the ingredients and your time, of course. It wouldn't be fair otherwise."

He cocks his head. "Oh? Yeah no problem. For both of them. I mean I amm not gonna lie. I need the money. Like bad. But you tell me the ingredients and I will make something from them. I can do traditional crane if you like. And throw some spicy stuff for you if you like." he says brightly, his passion bringing out that spark in his eyes.

She nods. She sees that passionate spark, and thinks it would be good to encourage it.
"Well, that sounds lovely, then. If I ever hear of anyone in need of a good meal cooked, I'll be sure to recommend you. Give me your number and I'll contact you for next time I ask her. Don't worry, I'll give you plenty of advance warning. Though I'll leave the choice of ingredients to you. She likes fish and traditional Crane cuisine, though she also enjoys some very light spicing on mutton," she says with a smile. "Impress us."

He nods and pulls out a peice of paper writing his name. "Here you go. I am trying to get a better website so people can hire me but I can work on short waring if you need me to. I really need the money. But hmm traditional Crane and fish. I imagine a romantic dinner? Any theme? Artistic movements of the meal? How much unicorn influence. I could try to use unicorn spices on Crane food and Crane spices on unicorn food? Hmm." he says pulling out his small notebook, writing down his ideas.

She takes the paper, and can't resist commenting. "Your calligraphy is easier to read than Ryudo-sensei's."
As he asks questions about the menu, she ponders. "I've already exposed her to Unicorn cuisine and parts of it didn't quite appeal with her, so I'm hoping for something more traditionally Crane in ingredients and preparation. But something with a hint of risk to it. I think she'd appreciate that."
A pause.
"Tofu, if you can manage it. And fugu. Our respective favorites."

Kogeki chuckles. "Oh! I know her. She is super awesome."
When she mentions the menu he nods, thinking up the different dishes when. "Fugu...crap. Ok. That's alot of trust Sensei. I know how to do it but I appreciate the request. Tofu is quite easy though. Love tofu, really soaks up spices."

"She is." Her smile suggests Hisui knows this fact about Akane very well.
When the doubt creeps in, she nods. She understands she is asking a lot. "If you don't think you can manage the fugu, that's alright. But if you'd use my favorite, I prefer you'd use hers as well."

He shakes his head. "I am a Samurai Sensei. I have prepared it before. I will just make sure it is perfect for her and I will start reviewing the cuts now so I can get it down. My knife work is pretty good and I learned. I might just ask Shosuro-sensei to watch me as I cut it. But I thank you for your trust." he says scratching his head. "Fugu, hmm... be a shame if we wasted the tingling but she dosn't like too much spice. Do you know if she prefers hot or cold temperatures and if there are any smells she likes?"

"Lavender," she says, with a tiny hint of amusement. The boy may note the Utaku faintly smells of lavender. "Beyond that, she seems more inclined to examine how food tastes than smells."

Kogeki nods. "Smell, temperature, looks and texture. Every part of the dish is part of the art. Even if the person dosn't know you can do wonders with the right changes. Mind you, first I need to brush up on Fugu. I only took a seminar on it. We need something to go with the tingling sensation. Something that will play with it without overpowering it or the gentle taste of the fish. Hmm... and can I use that to infuse the same into the Tofu."
