"That makes... a lot of sense... and it sounds beautiful," Yoshi tells Hinata, smiling in gratitude, as well as vicarious happiness for one of his dearest friends to have found a love like that. He wonders if Priya's perspective might be different, mainly because hers was not as monogamous as the one Hinata was enjoying or what he hoped to find with Momiko. Still, he considers it no less valueable or real just because the circumstances are different, and he looks to her with the same interest.

"I mean. I sort of agree. I want to be with Mako forever, there is no doubt about that. I also know though, that Mako as she is now, would want me to continue if we did break up. There would always be a part of me that was with her still, but not missing so much as... changed."

"I see...," Yoshi replies to Priya, nodding. He seemed to understand what she was saying better than he was letting on, and yet he still clearly was plagued by doubt. Turning back to Hinata, he continues, "So... not that I would wish or even think this ever, as your happiness is one of the most important to me... but... should things... not work out with Iweko-sama... would you perhaps try to find such feelings for Gyushi-san, based on what you had already built? Do you... think you even could?" It clearly pains him to ask, but the answers seem of vital importance to the young man.
"Please, if I've overstepped... you don't have to say anything or think on it further," he adds, bowing his head. Ever considerate of others' feelings, he's quick to also give Hinata an out if contemplating these questions was too painful.

Hinata looked down, her expression pained.
"I...no. No, I would not go crawling back to Kogeki-san, he deserves better than that. I hurt him."

Yoshi listens to Hinata's words, a look of realization crossing his face before he lets out a bitter laugh and shakes his head.
"You know what I just figured out?" he replies. He reaches out for Hinata's hand and holds it gently. "It's easy to tell yourself that the people you care about deserve better than you can give, but only when you hear such a person say it about themselves do you understand how foolish it sounds." Then he gives her a smile before turning to Priya.
"Thank you, too," he tells the Badger. "I know you have a... less singular approach to love than Hinata or me, but hearing how you described continuing maybe without Mako-san made me wonder... if things don't work out with someone you might think is perfect, is there hope to find something as good after? That's why I asked about Gyushi-san, not for getting back with him specifically necessarily, but... if Hinata or you could even consider it possible to find what you have with your ideal person with someone else."

She looks to Hinata and gives a little blush at her thoughts... Maybe, if the Prince was not there, she could comfort her...
"When Mako and I first met, a couple of months ago now, I made the mistake of thinking love would come easily. We kissed, we fucked, we fought and told ourselves that it couldn't be love, because if it were, we would just click. I guess some people do just click, I have had that with others, but clicking isn't the same as loving. I click with Hinata-chan, I click with Hoshiko-chan. Hell I click with Ichiro-san. I could love all of them, but love... Love takes work. It is something that you fight for, compromises, discussions, expectations that have to be adjusted. Like anything else, love is something you build. An instant attraction like Mako and I have, or a rapport based on similarity like Hinata and her love seem to have, they make it easier to build that thing, but it still needs to be built"

Yoshi blushed a lot when Priya so suddenly and casually talked about her physical relationship with Mako, but he wasn't too distracted by embarrassment to absorb what she had to say about building love out of attraction and rapport. To hear Hinata agree with her made him even more determined to keep putting in the effort to forge such a connection with Momiko, though he continued to wonder if it would ever be enough.
"I know you're saying it takes work, but it still seems to come easier to you guys than me," Yoshi admits.

"Well, it cannot be the same for everyone. It may come with time, and if it does not..."
Hinata frowned, and looking sympathetic.
"Well, we will be here for you. I think you and Momiko are a good match, but sometimes things just do not work out."
Her tone was reassuring, though there was a slight hint of bitterness to it; as if she was trying to reassure herself as well.
"...still, no need to be all doom and gloom. What happens will happen, yes?"

"Momiko-san is... Well, some of the social cues that come to others are maybe not so easy for her" she smiles "I like her a lot, but when I asked her on a date, I don't think she realized it was a date until about half way through"
