The rain was still coming down as Mako moved into the little restaurant, closing her umbrella. It wasn't a famous place, it wasn't somewhere everyone knew about, it was a hidden little gem that she knew about from her connection to the lifeblood of the city - she knew the way of the land itself, and tracked these kind of little delicious restaraunts. Combined with the terrible rain outside? That left the little eatery almost empty, as the Imperial walked in, "It's going to be for two. The other party is on her way." Mako had already ensured a driver had gone to pick up Utaku Joo-Eun, "We'll take the closest thing to privacy. That back corner." The small eatery had no private rooms, it was to small to truly separate samurai and non-samurai, but the back corner at least would keep them out of everyone's eye. She liked the Tempura here - it was almost perfect, in her opinion. More than that though, it was home-y. Quaint. A small family all working together, it made her... happy. And she needed that bit of happiness. |

Joo-Eun makes her way into the restaurant, having hurried from the car to the safety of the indoors, having forgotten to grab an umbrella before all of this. She's wearing a light jacket and a rather ordinary tee-shirt and jeans combo, trying to keep thins low key and casual. She smiles at Mako as she sees the Otomo, waving and moving over to Mako.
"Hey, Mako. How're you?"

Mako wasn't dressed up either - a small skirt, some tights to keep her warm, and a simple top under a small jacket that couldn't be that warm. Fashionable, but not fancy in the least. She was happy to just see Joo-Eun there, and gave a little wave, and a light smile, calmer than usual, "I've had worse days, but better too. But now you are here, and you know how that helps any mood." She gave her compliments honestly, patting the seat next to her.
"How's the storm been treating you, Eunnie?"

Joo-Eun takes a seat and scoots close to Mako, slipping her hand into the Otomo's, smiling, "Eh. Not great, but...I got you now, Mako, so my day is looking infinitely better."

"Ugh. Disgusting." She said it with this broad smile that showed how much she enjoyed hearing that, "Tell me, what's wrong, besides the rain?" She laced her fingers with Joo-Eun, as she gave a concerned look to her girlfriend, "You know you can tell me about anything, right?"

"It's honestly nothing. Just kinda trying to keep up with everything and sometimes that feels a little overwhelming, you know?" Joo-Eun replies, "But I'm trying to find more time for you and Priya, which is taking some thought, but...it's worth it."

Mako blushes lightly at that, "I like spending time with you too, Eunnie." She squeezed the hand, and said it with a smile, "I... was curious, about if your plans for the future have... you know, changed at all? Like... your dreams? I dunno. I've been thinking about the future a lot lately. With you. And Priya. And I'm curious."

"My long term plans are...mostly the same. Just I have two more people I know I will be keeping in touch with, two people who I'm going to be sharing every joy with and helping shoulder their burdens," Joo-Eun replies, a small smile, "I don't want you guys to vanish out of my life, even if the exact nature of my relationship with you will change over time."

"I mean. I hope it's more than keeping in touch with." She squeezed the girl's hand, and smiled softly, "You're so important to me, and Priya... she's fallen for you faster than she did for me, I think. I... I want to find a way to have a happy ending, and keep you with me. Is that wrong?" She asked it... meekly, for Mako, like she was worried, "I likely won't return to Unicorn lands, if I get my way and am made heir. I'll be remaining here, as head, at least officially. And I... I worried that you might move home. And if you want to... I understand. And I can do the long distance... thing."

Joo-Eun blinks a little, surprised, "Mako, I will have at least another year here. After that...we will see. I am wanting you two in my life, that much is for sure. Now, how that will be...if it just means letters and the odd vacation together, that will be something I will treasure just as much if I am in the capital with the two of you."
