She notes the reaction. "She reacted in much the same way when I struck her," she comments. "Almost exactly the same, in fact."
At the final comment, she bows. It was proper. Uetani was the better duelist, after all. "I can only hope that if that is how we are to end, that I have time between now and then to be good enough to offer her that final happiness," she says. "Before I follow Kakita's example and ask her sword to send me to her."

"You will." she answers, smiling "You were made for each other, as plain as day. You were meant to be"

"It's flattering of you to say that," she says as she relaxes a little bit. "It'd be a shame if her daughter didn't like me, after all."

"Well, I do" she smiles "Even my sister is fond, in more of a grasping and needy way, of course..." she sighs "It is your own children I fear for... She has made it clear that this will be at best difficult, if we do not get along"

"I advise taking the slower road there," she says, honest but optimistic. "They have only recently met your mother. To introduce you so soon would overwhelm them, put them on the defensive."
"But I have every confidence they will welcome you. They welcomed your mother. They welcomed Mako-chan. They will welcome you. Just don't rush them. They know my scars, and are over-protective." A pause. "At the very least, your interest in our patron Fortunes will make my son more welcoming."

She smiles at that "Mother has warned me not to get TOO close. I understand he has a liking for Mei-nee"

"He does, but he also knows that will go nowhere. He is fond of her still, but he will never take action to pursue her. She, in turn, treats him more…gently than she does other boys who take an interest in her."

"She is a gentle soul" she smiles softly "And I am not a stragner to complicated sibling relationships" she looks over to what appears to be an empty spot

"Yes. A gentler, more generous soul you will not find. A few more years and some wisdom, and she will be my superior in every respect," she says, with just the slightest hint of pride at her little Mako. "Speaking of my son, when you become part of the family, I suggest speaking to him. He is a priest of the Lords of Death and one of his areas of academic focus is on the matter of specters and hauntings."
"He might be able to provide insights on your bond with Kasumi-san that no one else can."

She nods, almost fearfully
"Perhaps... I would not wish to lose her, not as she is now. She needs my help. I have to be able to do something to redeem her"
