Kogeki waits for Kakita Uetani at a small hole in the wall restaurant he found in the city. The place doesn't look the best but he saved up for it and the owner was a freind of his dad's which means he knew the food was amazing even if the place looked a bit on the sketchy side. He wanted to treat his girl to nice all you can eat BBQ place but also wanted to talk to her after his talk with Tsubasa to try to further figure out how he would be proceeding in his life. He waits in the front of the place, jacket on his arm and trying his best to look classy. |

She shows up of course, elegant and refined as ever, a long black dress that looks like it might be more in place in some period piece that in modern day rokugan. Being something of a foodie herself, she knows to not turn her nose up at the seeming simplicity of the place, and instead walks over to place her lips against her lover's cheek "Tell me what you have done today" she says softly

He leans over to give his own simple chaste kiss. "Well uh, simple day. Did some studying. Took a job making a special dinner for Doji Fuyuko-Sensei that Utaku Hisui-Sensei paid me to make. And uh, followed Hisui-Senei's advice and had a talk with Yasuki Tsubasa. How about you babe-chan?"

She smiles at thought thought of her mothers getting to sit down and spend some time together, and again at the thought of Basa and Geki getting a chance to talk.
"Okasan said that she had spoken with you. I hope that it all went okay?" she does not pry, but she is hoping they aren't here to break up...

He gives a small nod. "Yeah! I mean this Otomo was floating around while I was cooking and it was weird but yeah it all went ok! And again how about your day? By the way babe. I already payed for your plate. It's all you can eat but the guy who owns this place? His dad was the Ronin who taught my dad how to do BBQ."

"I would have paid" she says softly, smiling. She knows that the Spider does not have much, that he would spend what he does have on her is astounding to her.

Kogeki smiles. "A little. I mean he is a cranky loud old man but he knows his food. And really babe don't worry about it. I wanted to treat you. If I am gonna be your boyfriend I need to do it right." he says as he walks and grabs some of the food. Very Gajin style meat but all of it looks delicious.

She takes some as well, and eats without any kind of grace, just giving into hunger. She knows Kogeki does not mind, and she smiles as she tastes it.

Kogeki smiles as he watches her eat, his own eating not so hungry but not so fine either. "Glad ya like it babe. Don't worry, got a seat where nobody will see us if we eat. Good stuff right?"
