Fuyu once more sits in the Dojo, seated on the ground sipping tea and with her loud goth music playing on the speakers as she meditates in her goggles. Waiting for her class to show up for the day.

And who is first to arrive? Daidoji Kobushi. Who tries very hard not to look terrified. He mostly succeeds. He isn't sure why the little Crane woman he towers over scares him more than the Shadowlands does. But he's not about to question it.
Instead, he just shows respect in the right way, bowing to her, the banners, and the dojo. Then he goes to find a quiet spot to warm up and try to focus.

Fortunately for Kobushi he wasn't alone in this class today...
...unfortunately, it was one of the more skilled and also more troublesome students that had decided to show up.
Mirumoto Noboru passes by the banners and bows precisely as he had promised he would once before - to the Imperial and Dragon banners, pointedly walking past the Crane banner as if it didn't even exist. Were it not for the incident in iaido club a week earlier one could at least call him consistent. He does, however, bow to Fuyuko-sensei as is appropriate and takes his place where she instructs it.

Rodrigo entered next, bowing to all the appropriate subjects and taking position to practice. He tried to focus, but it was hard to ignore the fact that Dragon dickhead from last class was here again.

Fuyuko gives a bow to those present, arms crossed in front of her crossly as she looks around. "Everyone grab your practice weapons. Today we will be measuring you stance and your control."

Kobushi tries not to raise a curious eyebrow. The smaller Crane seems particularly temperamental today, and he can only guess that it's tied to the Dragon in the room for some reason. Still, he goes to grab and test one of the practice weapons, noting that the Dragon was also the most experienced in the class, as far as he could tell. He wasn't sure how that affected things, but it did kind of make him wary.
"I just hope for a nice, quiet class," he mutters to himself.

Kobushi's wishes were about to be shattered already, because Rodrigo was a gaijin. He had a different idea of how to treat others who seemed upset: ask about them. He paused as he went to grab a weapon and looked at Fuyuko.
"Is everything alright, sensei?"

Noboru does as instructed, grabbing a shinai unless instructed otherwise. Given their earlier conversation Noboru chose to do the polite thing and ignore the elephant in the room.

Kobushi sighs. Well, there goes that idea. He decides the best course of action right now was to find a way to get the class going without making the scary sensei any more unhappy than she already was. There was probably a course of action that made that possible.
"Sensei, aside from the Mirumoto and Kakita, are there any other prominent traditions for iaijutsu dueling?"
He probably didn't take it, though.

Fuyuko raises a brow at Rodrigo's question. "Everything is fine." she says sternly. It might just be normal run of the mill irritation or it might be leftover from the meeting. Who knows. She turns to Kobushi and nods. "Yes, this is accurate. The Seppun, Ryuden, Shiba and Ronin have developed some of the more well known dueling styles outside the norm but there are also many variations."
