It was noticed but not commented on at the moment but she is feeling the lack of her fan. "Indeed. I will be teaching Law and Iajutsu." she says quietly before looking to the school. "Will this one have you as a student Scorpion-san?"

"Law is an interesting subject. I hope you understand that Iai is not something a servant of the kami is keen to spend his time on." He replied.
"Law is a large subject. WIll you be focusing on some specific aspect of it?"

He may not have been a shugenja or monk, but he was a Phoenix. He had dropped his bags off in his room, he could unpack later, so now he figured would be a good time to get a quiet prayer in. He walked into the temple wearing simple robes, well used but cared for. Probably the most cared for garments he owned, but that wasn't saying much. His hair was still mostly unkempt, but he made an attempt to at least move it out of his eyes.
He made his way over to the shrine of Fukurokujin. He noticed the two talking, but decided it would be rude to interject, especially towards the fortune he had intended to pray to if he did so before offering his prayer. He knelt down before the shrine, lit some incense, and began his prayer. He prayed for the wisdom to know how best to utilize this new opportunity. He prayed that nothing would be placed before him that he could not handle, or at the very least survive. And he prayed that the knowledge he obtained in this new portion of his life only lead him to success.
After he had finished his ritual he bowed again to the shrine, and made his way over to the two conversing. One was an older woman, if the shortest one there, likely on the faculty here. The other was a Scorpion boy he recognized. He stood just off to the side, in obvious line of sight to both individuals but not close enough that he would seem to be butting in. He waited to be included in the conversation, and hoped to pick up an idea of what it was about.

Fuyuko smiles gently at him. "This one understands that the sword is not for everyone. And we will be a broad class but a focus can be looked at if there is something you wish to learn about." she says in her quiet and raspy voice. She spots the Phoenix as he approaches giving him a polite nod but not trying to get his attention until he approaches, choosing to acknowledge him with a second gentle bow.

Yoruga had his back to the Phoenix and were it not for Fuyu's bow he would be oblivious to it.
"Bai-san, welcome back!" He greeted the Phoenix enthusiastically.
"Doji-sama, Shiba-san is a friend and student here. Lady Fuyuko will teach Law and Iai." He introduced them.

Shiba Bai bows as he enters the conversation proper. "It is a pleasure seeing you again as well Yoruga-san."
He then bows to Fuyuko directly. "And it is a pleasure meeting you Fuyuko-sensei. I am afraid I am unlike to be attending Iai classes, but I think I have some Law classes scheduled."

Fuyu smiles. "I am glad to see that law will be well attended. It is an important class I feel that many do not understand. I find in my duties that far too many do not realize what they did was illegal until they are being held responsible. But yes, the pleasure is mine. This one is happy to see the Shrines attended and cared for."

Fuyu nods again. "Agreed, but the Fortunes will do without the praise of mortal men. It is more to our credit that we show appreciation then to theirs. Still, I am glad to see this generation has those who show reverence."
