The matchmaker's club designated classroom for meetings was blacked out completely. The windows were covered with thick black sheets, the lights were unscrewed and taken out of fixtures. The only light to the room were some fancy candles, burning chemicals to create a purple hue to their flame, lighting up the room in a dark, purple light. Mako was sat at a table, a large witches hat on her head, and a sign outside the door read PALM READINGS, TAROT DRAWINGS, ASTROLOGICAL COMPATABILITY TESTS. ENTER AT YOUR OWN PERIL.

A Doji walked out of the room, looking nervous, and Mako's voice called out "Next!" The badger was directed inward from one of the faceless members of the club, and Mako was grinning, speaking in a low, ominous voice "Ahhhh, Ichiro~san. I see even you find the lure of my magical lair impossible to re-" she couldn't even finish the sentence, as she started laughing loudly, "Okay, okay. This is silly when it's with you."

"No no" she smiles wickedly, rubbing her foot against her lover under the table "Tell me my darling one. What secrets does your lair hold for me today?"

"A telling of fortunes, of what is to come! Of love, and life, and pain within. I seek the darkest depths of what you desire, and from there I show which will transpire." She wiggled her fingers ominously, as she drew up a set of fancy cards, "Pick three cards, and you shall divine a darkness ever ending, and shed light onto what is to come~~" She was really playing it up, like a total nerd in her witch hat.

Priya smiles at the ceremony of it all, still rubbing her foot against her lover's leg. She chooses her cards, and actually looks a little nervous as she waits for the results

Meanwhile, somewhere outside are Daidoji Kobushi and Mirumoto Ryuha, still wandering around the festival. He looks at the choice of decor and style and gets an amused smile at how it all looks. "Hey, ever had your fortune told, Ryuha-san?" he asks, sounding curious about the whole thing. |

Mako grinned as the cards were chosen, but her face fell as she flipped over the first card, "The Empress in reverse. She represents your present self. You rely on others to see yourself through currently. Your creative side has died as you have fallen to allowing others to push you towards new things, rather than finding new joys of your own. You're dependent on people outside of yourself." Mako said the words evenly, but it was clear that she wasn't exactly comfortable with telling such things to her girlfriend.
The second card was flipped, and she smiled a little, "The ten of wands. Your character. The burden of responsibility is hard on you. You long for achievement and glory, and take as much of a burden onto yourself as you can so that people recognize you. When taken with the Empress in reverse this can be read one of two ways - you latch yourself onto others with achievements, to allow yourself some of their glory in knowing you helped, or you take on the burdens of their pains and stress, so that they are free of them, and that you may depend on them in your times of need." She clearly lightened up as she said the second reading, taking a deep breath as she flipped the third card.
The third card was flipped, and she nodded again, "The Hermit. He represents a guidance towards the future, and what may come. He represents soul searching, introspection. While he can represent being alone, he does not represent loneliness in this form - he instead represents the healthy nature of having time to yourself, to sort through thoughts, and find guidance in yourself. It's a very fitting card with the Empress."
She reached out a hand for Priya's as she finished it, "The cards have spoken. But now I will. I'm sorry if these weren't what you wanted to hear. If... if you want I can do another reading?"

She smiles softly, as her own fears about her character are laid before her like that. She takes Mako's hand and squeezes, taking a breath, and trying to let it float away. "The cards have spoken, like you said. Another reading would reveal the same truth no, in a different pattern?"
She kisses her girlfriend on the cheek and sits in the chair for a moment. Trying her hardest to be as light as she was when she came in
