"I didn't even see her last night. Do you think she even bothered with the assembly?" Kobushi asks, not quite shuddering. Still, the idea that the Otomo could have been there didn't sit well with him. "And you just know she'll use what you said against you if she remembers it when we all wake up."

"I think I remember Moto-sama promising no evil wishes would be granted, when Noboru-san was hypothesizing about it," Yoshi recalls to Hinata. "If I'm mistaken in that... at the very least, we can trust her to be the arbiter of them." He looks to Kobushi, his logic failing as his Crane friend speaks in apparent paradoxes.
"How can she remember what she wasn't there to hear?" Yoshi asks him. He shakes his head, continuing, "Still, as Hinata said, all the more reason she should use her wish to undo her outburst, because Otomos-sensei would surely get wind of it otherwise eventually. I know, I keep speaking from my position of leaving Goemon-no-kami asleep, but... even though I choose to have faith that things will work out if he doesn't, I already know for certain that things have worked out, and will, if he does. Certainty is... not something I've ever had a lot of, so I can't help but see it as a divine blessing itself, not just something to cast aside for another."

"I've come to assume that just because we didn't see her doesn't mean she wasn't there," Kobushi says. "Because if I don't think that way, I have to assume that the people I didn't see there were off-campus, and who knows what's happened to them. Asahina-san, Ryuha-san, Nadeshiko-san, Yasuki-san. Everyone we know that we didn't see or hear last night."
"It's less upsetting than assuming all of them were off-campus and in who knows what right now, even if I have to assume the Otomo is safe too." He bites his apple again and chews.
