Kobushi had improved in his swordsmanship. Well, this dream version of his did. His grasp of a spear hadn't really move don much. He was still very good with his fists. In the end, his time in this dream-space didn't change his combat preferences much. He still viewed his fists as his best weapons. His mind was not suited for pondering cosmic questions or mysteries. No, he was just going to find something he was comfortable doing.
So there he was again, "tenderizing the meat."
His strikes are still fast, directed power. His training was focused on brutal efficiency, and his movements showed it. The attacks are quick and fast, with a focus on repeating attacks in the same spots. The kind of strategy that can wear down opponents with strong defenses, or exploit a weakness that's already been made. He seems to get lost in the motions as he practices, enjoying the sweat and the exertion. In other words, nothing much has changed.
This time, though, he's a little less focused. This time, he's kind of wondering who might walk in on him. He had one person in mind, but he wasn't sure if even in a dream, lightning could strike twice.

Rodrigo strutted into the dojo, more relaxed than the current situation warranted. He gave Kobushi a friendly wave as he entered and picked up a bokken, tossing it in the air like a baton a few times before setting up in front of a training dummy.
"Hey, man. Working out some energy, eh?"

He pauses in his strikes, taking a moment to breathe before smiling and addressing Rodrigo.
"Yeah, kind of. The whole thing last night was a little outside my expertise. Figured something I understood might help," he admits. "You?"

Rodrigo shrugged after delivering a series of quick, precise strikes to the dummy.
"I just wanted to work on my technique. If we don't wake this Fortune of yours, I figure I shouldn't let my skills rust."
He chuckled and delivered a jab to the dummy's chest.
"Of course, I hope we do wake him. I don't know much about how your guys' gods work, but I think 'don't fuck with the heavens' is a pretty universal thing."

Kobushi delivers a hard, swift kick to the dummy's head.
"Yeah, I hope we wake him too. Sure, some things will change, but it's the right thing to do," he says once both feet are back on the ground. "Because everyone, even a Fortune, has responsibilities. A Duty to fulfill."
"That and the universal concept of not messing with the Heavens."

"Well, remember what that girl said? That this is all a reflection?"
Rodrigo delivered another jab to the dummy.
"What do you see when you look in a mirror? The same thing. No need to think things will be so much different, yeah?"

"Pretty much. Some things will be different, but I don't think it'd be anything too important."
He releases a quick flurry, to the dummy's stomach. Fast strikes, more to wear down a specific spot than to do real damage.
"I mean, I doubt I'd get any smarter."

Rodrigo laughed at that.
"You and me both. There are some advantages to being a little dumb though, eh? Like not putting too much thought into a decision."

Ichiro also walked into the gym but was looking more troubled than the others. He had come here to work through a lot of stuff by good ol' fashioned hitting stuff. He walks in and waves to the two guys already there as he grabs a bokken.
"Hey guys how's it going?"

Kobushi laughs. Rodrigo was right, in his own way.
And then he notices Ichiro. He bows in greeting. "Here to hit things too?"
