"I guess." She played with the spoon. "I guess I have a lot of nieces and nephews." She giggled. "I have ningyo sort of niece... Well since I considered Ari San my sister even though she wasn't really related to me by blood."

"Ah, she was my sort of Yojimbo and was very cute. She had pink hair and emerald green eyes. One of the lovely ningyo that otousan loved to teach her about the Ningen oral afictions... I mean eating."

"Pink hair and green eyes? I guess I never met her. You'd think I'd remember someone with pink hair," she says. And then there was that bit about eating. She raises an eyebrow. "What, exactly, did Ari-san learn?"

"Well what Kojima also taught me... pancakes, they are small little disks of cake. You pour this liquid called syrop... and they are become very sweet." She looked at the ice cream and wondered. "Could you put ice cream on them instead of syrop?"

Hisui nods. "My son does that. He likes to put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of the pancake, and then spray a little chocolate syrup over it. He does that when he's not feeling up to making something himself."

"It's a little too sweet for me," she admits sheepishly, having tried it before. "But someday, you and me and Akane. We'll all meet up and eat all sorts of things. Just to try."

She laughs, because that probably would happen. "Well, I'm sure whatever happens, we'll all have a good time." A pause, reaching out to take Yoko's hand. "After we get you back to us."
Hisui takes another spoonful of ice cream, content to spend the rest of the time digging into the sweet treat in the company of a good friend.
