Hinata began to stand up and address the room when then other girl was pointed out by Aiko. The wind taken from her sails, Hinata sat back down awkwardly.

The herald raises from her seat and bows to the sensei. "Yes, of course, I am the volunteer. May I ask to what, Mirumoto sensei? Say the word and I will be the best volunteer you have ever seen!"

Taiko narrows her eyes at her roommate's "pet." Shouldn't that be in the warcat pens like everyone else's? Ah well, now is neither the time nor the place to complain.

"Name, year and goal for the year," Aiko says, looking apologetically towards the poor deflated Kuni. She had hoped for an actual volunteer like her, but the late arrival was enough of an interruption to be worth making an example of.

"Yes, of course." She bows once again, in apology this time. "I am Miya Asurito of the Heralds and I am in my third year in RHS. This year I hope to raise my grades enough so as to be allowed to take a year off before going to college and travel around the Empire on my bike."

Ryouko glared at the warcat and it's owner, though she quickly looked away and returned to her neutral mask. She stepped forward after Asurito finished her introduction. Better be done with it quickly.
"This one is Utaku Ryouko, Battle maiden of the Unicorns." She said coldly. "I will be attending as third year, though it is my first here." She bit down the initial retort for her goal, instead settling on; "My goal is to make new connections and learn to better myself."
Good enough. She slunk back into her corner.

Arasou huffs a bit, his long tail giving a flick. He was still waiting for those belly rubs.
Akiko, in the mean time, was trying her best to melt into the shadows and pretend like no one could see her.

Hinata smiled faintly at Priya. Kind words should always be acknowledged in some way, especially when they were genuine. She saw no reason that this odd looking girl would lie to her.
Soon enough, she sensed an opportunity to speak up again once the Utaku had introduced herself. She stood up and bowed to the room.
"Greetings, all of you. This one is Kuni Hinata. I am a second year, though this is my first year attending this prestigious establishment of education. I hope to have a beautiful and successful year here, and to make many friends, and I wish the same for all of you. Thank you."
Hinata took a seat again, folding her hands in her lap.
