He had escorted her to a guest room as soon as they got to his place, and gave her enough privacy for her to change, but doing the same in his room. When he returned to pick her up from the guest room he was wearing board shorts and a t-shirt. He had was also sporting a cup on his head. When she joined him he bowed and complicated her looks. Then he gave her a quick tour of the house, it was quite large (5 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, 5 bathrooms, 2 kitchens, 1 gaming room, 1 dining room and of course a pool). That took a while. Finally they reached the pool. He laid on a reclining chair and motioned to her to do the same.
"Hiroko-san will be here in a little. Would you have something as we wait? I will have a cold coffee."

This place did seem extremely excessive, but it wasn’t the first time Chiyo spent in a house this extravagant. Her mother used to know some really big names in the entertainment industry. Those folks had living rooms in their living rooms so they could lounge when they lounged. Okay so...no. But there was one guy, a famous wrestler, who had a pool in his living room. The lighting at that party was fantastic. The whole damn thing was. Unfortunately she was just ten at the time and her mother had her spend most of the party in a guest room with other kids.
But they snuck out at some point and found ways to make the best of it. She was the ringleader of course.
Luckily she had a bit of warning about the extra company. Chiyo looked herself in the mirror in the outfit she chose. It was a decently fitted robe, very light colors, pink and embroidered. She wore a flower clip in her hair that she kept in her purse if she felt whatever she was wearing was too plain without some kind of accessory.
“Hm...I’m fine,” she says, still checking herself out. She stepped away and joined him by the reclining area, but she did not take a seat as she studied the room.

"House, a coffee for me and inform the monk where I am when she arrives. Also please open tge roof in the pool." He seemed to be speaking in the air, yet seconds later the ceiling started retracting and soon they were in a veranda, instead of a closed room.
"You look great don't worry."He told to the Scorpion as he noticed her checking herself.
"Usually you talk more. Did I do something that prompted your shyness?"

"No...I was thinking," she explained, her eye now following along with the retracting ceiling. Okay, this was pretty exciting how over the top these digs were.
"For instance this home is extremely expansive, yet there hardly seems to be many residents within these walls. I imagine four or five members of your family must frequent the place, but we've yet to see a single one. Are they busy perhaps?"
She was thinking a heck of a lot more than that, but what came out was the more polite portion of her train of thought. The rest of her imagination filled in the blanks with nightly parties, private rooms, gaijin customs of an unmentionable nature. And not to mention orgies. This place has probably seen a number of those in its time.
But you don't just bring that sort of thing up.

A servant brought him his coffee.
"Oh, you are correct. I was more than happy to invite some people to live with me. My fiancee being one of them. Yet understandingly she was kinda reserved to the idea. After all we are still courting..." he shrugged clearly not happy with the situation.
"I believe you and Reiha-sama had some class together today. Did you interacted?"

He doesn’t sound particularly happy with Reiha, but after what she’s seen of the guy, she’s not entirely surprised. Most arranged marriages are...well, lets say the best thing you can hope for is that you can tolerate one another. Love is hardly in the equation, and it doesn’t seem like Tarik is ready to settle down with one girl yet.
When he asked about the Doji, the mention of their having a class together was of an interesting note. That means Reiha must have mentioned it. That or he’s totally stalking me which number one, creepy, number two, kind of hot.
No—bad. A spray of water for you.
Well, attractive and creepy don’t go hand in hand anyways, and right now it would be more beneficial to interpret it as creepy stalking. If that is the case. Which it very well could be.
“We didn’t have much of an opportunity to do so,” Chiyo began, though she allowed a smirk to come through. “She’s shockingly bold however. She answered a riddle of mine in an uncanny way. I imagine perhaps the two of us might get along if we spent time together outside of class.”

He nodded. Reiha's version was not that good but what could he di about it?
"She is anything but bold. What you describe probably costed her a lot. I am grateful that you will be spending time with her. Just thread carefully, she is very delicate. If you help her I would be most pleased."
He was as direct as he could. He genuinely hoped that he could trust Chiyo with that.

Huh, maybe he does care. Or at least he's pretending to. Reiha's not as pure and innocent as he thinks though. There's no such thing in this world. She may come off as soft spoken and frail, but Chiyo knows a spitfire when she sees one. This one is staying tightly secured in the closet.
"I do aim to guide her, yes. I used to be...well, I had a poor track record with other students in the past, but I seek to rectify that."
Collect ducklings, make a profit. So far she was taking it nice and easy, but once the school year really kicks in, those first years are all hers. Tarik would provide quite a window of opportunity for that. No coincidences. Scorpion's are not in that market.

He nodded and hoped she realised that this was important to him.
"In case I can assist you in some way with that, it would be the least I could do." He commented.
"I am not a Crane yet, but we Dahabi, do appreciate maybe even more the significance of friends and favors done."

"Don't worry about it," she says, not too dismissively. He needs to believe she kind of cares at least. "If it is important to you, it should be important to me as well. Doji-san is an interesting one."
Well, she was really quick to try and snap back at Chiyo when she realized she had been attacked. While nobody caught her in that lie, she certainly did intend to embarrass the Crane. Not out of malic--well, okay a little. A little bit out of malice. But that was hours ago and soon to be ages away. Reiha-san would get over it and everything would be peaches and cream between them soon enough. She needs to teach the girl how to type like a regular human being though.
