Utaku Hitomi giggled slightly. "I thought I remembered you... The hot springs felt so dangerous..." She shudders at the thought. "But you seemed really nice Kuni-San. Oh I am Utaku Hitomi. A pleasure to meet you all..." She looks to the food set there. "Oh... That does look quite good... If you don't mind me having a bite... or two..." She realized she hadn't quite picked up any food for herself and was quite hungry at that.

Kobushi watches the Crab and Scorpion. Not out loud, he wonders if the offer of food has turned into the game of refusals. If that was the case, did Hinata play for everyone, or did all of them have to play? Such matters would come naturally to any other Crane. To him, they were an unfathomable mystery.

Izumi focused on her lunch looking up to greet the new arrivals with a smile. Ordinarily she would have wolved down her food to get on with more important things but in polite company, and after much nagging from her parents, she forced herself to slow down and eat more delicately.
She blushed slightly at the mention of the hot springs as she was unaware there were any. The story sounded potentially interesting but she wasn't really one to gossip or pry.
She was about to ask the Scorpion if he was sure when she was beaten to it so instead she looked up to gauge his response and paused her eating. Whilst his intensity surprised her slightly, though perhaps it was a Scorpion thing, she sat back to see what the group consensus was.

"it would be an honor to have you and by extension the rest of you enjoy this meal with me. Please eat." The path of politeness was one of nuisance and constant one up-menship. Setting down the utensils before the group he seemed rather set on everyone joining in on the meal.

Kobushi ponders.
If Hinata had spoken for the group, and that this was a game of refusals, then wouldn't it theoretically be possible that anyone from the group could have done the requisite acts? In such a case, even if Hinata had been the one doing the refusing, any of them could indulge the Scorpion's offer and accept.
And with Yoshikatsu's insistence seemingly growing, it seemed prudent that one of them snatch a bit of food already. Besides, it looked like the Utaku was hungry. Might as well get the game over with.
"Well, far be it from me to refuse your kindness, senpai."
So he resigns himself to snatching a piece and hoping this would get the ball rolling.

Hinata looked at Kobushi. Did it count if he accepted the gift? She was not entirely sure. Still...he had taken some of the food, so there was little point arguing now.
"Thank you, Bayushi-san."
And with that, she took some food of her own before turning to Kaizen.
"Ah, hello there. Would you like to have a seat over here?"

he looked at the boy then back to his seat... then back to the boy. "is there enough space?" it looks like he has enough food for a few people,

Izumi was not good at the minutiae of etiquette, usually deferring to her twin or group consensus. She was pretty sure saying no would be rude here and the group seemed keen to indulge, besides it did smell really good. She hoped providing she thanked him and wasn't greedy she couldn't go too far wrong.
Taking an implement she too took a small bit of the food, reigning herself in and trying to match others portions again looking up to smile at the new arrival.
"Thank you, its delicious"
She said bowing her head to the Bayushi, after savouring her portion. If this was the kind of food you got here then she would be very happy, it was rather better than most of what she had before, an added incentive to do well so she could enjoy more of this life.
