Aiko nods a little, "Alright. Then we'll start with something simple as a practical exercise. Tell me, who here is familiar with the Seven Mysteries of RHS?"

Nadeshiko raised her hand, waiting to be picked "I don't know all of them but I know that the ghost in the girls dorm is one of them correct?"

"That is one example, yes, Iuchi-san. Most large schools have legends or mysterious things going on, and for some reason, seven seems to be a favorite number for these mysteries. Some attribute it to the Seven Fortunes. Others to the Seven Clans founded by the Kami themselves. Still others just chalk it up to happenstance."
The Mirumoto turns to the board, writing seven bullet points, and writing Girls' Dorm Ghost next to the first.
"Any others you might have heard of from senpai or family?"

With the rest of the class seemingly stumped Nadeshiko raised her hand again. Once called upon she stands up, her ass directly in front of Nomen's face with that lovely Zettai Ryouki on full display.
"While I don't know the exact nature of this schools seven mysteries Sensei, it is quite a common belief. The mysteries tend to be things like ghosts, voices and music coming out of empty rooms, the anatomy dummies moving, stairs with more steps going up than down, and other things like that. Generally in popular culture they mostly turn out to be common tricks... although the 7th mystery usually turns out to be true as a twist."
She sits back down again, slightly smug as she scribbles in her notebook

Aiko smiles, "Ah. Yes. It seems you have stumbled on to my point and objective. Most of these mysteries in manga and anime end up having mundane explanations when they are examined more closely. And in essence, that is what investigation is. The close examination and collection of evidence, in order to understand or discover what is hidden."
