Ichiro gives Nade a little playful side eye "oh yes I'm sure your interest would only be ensuring a fair competition." And turns to kogeki "so do you know how to fight with anything but knives? Polearms? Heavy weapons? Your fists?"

"Do I like seeing big strong boys try to beat themselves up for me? perhaps but mostly I hope you guys learn how to properly use them... especially since knowing how to use a knife in a dojo is a lot different than knowing how to use them in a real fight."

Ichiro nods "fair point but really the only difference is a willingness to kill. I haven't had to yet but I plan on being a soldier and warrior. taking a life when it's necesarry is sort of a prerequisite." For once his normal jovial face is much more serious. Not angry but as if he appreciates the gravity of what he is saying.

Nadeshiko looks down at her snacks as Akodo mentions taking a life, she nibbles on her lower lip for a moment before speaking. "Being responsible for the loss of someones life is a harsh thing. It weighs on you and lasts for a long time... you need to be very certain you want it to happen before you take that step...."
She fills her mouth with food then, chomping down before swiftly changing the subject "I know a few teachers, I'm sure we can find someone to watch and make sure we'll all okay. I'll see who I can contact okay boys?"
