"I meant that as a compliment." He tried to explain. "I know I am weird. I see nothing wrong with people being weird."
He shrugged.
"I you want my opinion, you shouldn't want that. Why bother? The sheeple will never be able to understand us."

"Oh... I... Well, my family always told me to try to fit in, you know?"
She looked up at him, rain dripping from the hood of her poncho, "And, I mean, even if I don't try to be normal, per say... Well, I want to fit in. If you understand what I mean? I mean... I want friends and stuff like that, not to just be on my own or... well... different?"
Momiko looks to Yoruga for understanding... and a bit of curiosity; She'd never thought of him as weird up until now. In fact, she was one of those few people, before coming to school here, that she'd looked up to as NORMAL. Whatever that meant.

"I have never met my parents, so no I wouldn't know, though I guess parents would want something like this for their kids." He replied.
"I understand wanting to fit in. I also get that from time to time. Times when a random person does a random act of kindness that makes you feel good. Then something bad happens and I remember that I am not supposed to feel good." He shrugged.
"Being different does not mean being on your own. You just need to find the right people to have around who accept you for what you are."

Momiko put her fingers to her chin thoughtfully, once more looking at the ground, "I see. ...Hm. I... guess that also means accepting yourself for who you are though. I think I have a hard enough time with that. I mean... well... and maybe there are things you have a hard time being honest about with others."

The rain didn't bother him, but standing did. He looked around and spotted a bench.
"Shall we sit?" He suggested.
"Yeah, it comes with our age I think. Our bodies are changing and stuff. Is that what you mean?"
He looked where she was looking.
"Is that why you don't look people in the eyes when you speak? The honesty thing?"

Momiko is more than happy to go sit, following Yoruga and sitting next to him, "Bodies changing? Is there something..."
She cleared her throat before she could ask if there was something weird about her body as well, "Well, I don't think so. I mean, I'm fairly certain my body is going through the same changes as any girl my age, in that sense. If that's what you mean. But... I don't know with the eye thing; Sometimes I just feel uncomfortable, and it makes me want to look away; Like... people can see who I really am if I look them in the eyes. ...come to think of it, mother always told me a Bayushi could practically read your mind if you look them in the eyes."
Despite saying this Momiko was looking him in the eyes at this point.

At her last remark he smiled without averting his eyes.
"I promise I'm not that kind of Bayushi. But some are. Your mother gave you a good advice."
He took his backpack off his back and reach for his bag of tobacco. "If not the changes on your body. then what?" He asked clearly confused as he rolled a smoke.

She looked at the smoke tentatively, the urge to say something nearly overwhelming, "Well... you know... I mean, there are things like my family and my hobbies and such that... I don't like talking about I guess? I mean... even saying that much is uncomfortable."
Her eyes kept following the tobacco.

He opened the bag and started rolling a smoke, oblivious to her stare.
"Well, you have seen my area of the greenhouse 2. I bet you understand what I'm growing, so yes I get that. For what it's worth I don't mind you talking about anything. By Jigoku it might be even refreshing."
He smiled as he noticed her looking at the bag.
"I grow it myself. It is mint flavoured. Want me to roll you one?"

Momiko shook her head, "Call it the doctor in me, but I don't see the appeal. I suppose it doesn't help I do a lot of running, and Mother has a lung condition... At least I'm not lecturing you like I know she would. Though it is tempting."
She gives a little shrug of her shoulders.
