"Oh! Errr..."
The thought of drawing attention to herself and boasting about being a captain makes her embarrassed enough to blush.
"I just want to help the club, Yasuki-san. That would seem like... bragging, I guess? Please don't burden yourself on my behalf!"
She turns to Aiko.
"Mirumoto-sensei, what kind of activities did the club do in previous years? I... I'm a first year student, you see. I can imagine going to cons, setting up a list of all the manga we own, with comments on why we like it or don't. Would make borrowing and tracking easier."
A pause.
"Is anyone into cosplay? I... I never was, but it seems like fun, no? Also..." Another blush. "If anyone likes to learn how to draw manga, I could try and show you?"

"Someone told me I should try cosplay just this morning," Yoshi mentions, though he blushes a little since the dress-up in question was a maid's uniform, not knowing how totally into that Hinata would be. "I'm... sure I couldn't afford to get into something like that, though. Unless it was for a High School slice of life series." He smiles timidly at his own attempt at humor.

"Honestly, Doji-san, the clubs activities tended to depend on the officers, but common themes were cons, manga and anime. I have in the past made my own library available to the club, as well as reached out to some of the contacts I have who are involved in the industry to come speak and answer questions about their works, past, present and future. I am here to make sure you all are able to share and enjoy modern visual culture together. Also, to make sure that hentai does not enter into the viewing or reading queue. I...really would not like to deal with the letters I would receive if that happened," Aiko says, the last part with a sheepish smile.

Hinata looked surprised at that. Hentai in the club? How would that happen? Surely someone would notice before anyone read or watched it, yes? What kind of pervert would even recommend it as material?

"A few years back, a few of the club members were what we shall call...enthusiasts of hentai and when you are only reading the titles, there are hentai that sound like legitimate non-H material and legitimate non-H material that have titles that sound like hentai. And there are sometimes legitimate non-hentai series that came into being as spin-off series from hentai or eroges. It is sometimes rather difficult to tell the two apart. And the one time we actually did show hentai in the club, about six years ago, was because it no one realized that the series was a hentai series until we had gotten about a quarter of the way into the first episode," Aiko replies, "But it was our fault for using a giant list of anime to randomly generate what we would watch each week without checking to make sure the list was all non-hentai material."

Hinata stared at Aiko for a few seconds, her expression deadpan.
"Hentai enthusiasts."
That took Hinata a few moments to fully process. What kind of person was a hentai enthusiast? Surely they could not look like a normal person. Or could they? Was Reiha a hentai enthusiast? Was Tsubasa? Was Yoshi? She shuddered and pushed the thoughts away, the implications were too disturbing.
"Well, I am sure we will not have to worry about that this year."
