"Uh... well... I'm not sure," Yoshi confesses in response to Kobushi's question. "I expect we'll just want to listen closely for him being rude. Also... well... Kuni-san might be able to tell if Horiuchi-san isn't having a good time, from whatever subtle clues she might give... because she's also a woman... and has also actually been on a date before." The logic felt sound to Yoshi at least.

Hinata shrugged and looked at Yoshi, clearly still grumpy.
"Just because we are both women does not mean I can read her thoughts. If she looks uncomfortable we will intervene, that is the best we can do."

Nadeshiko and Rodrigo's conversation continued apace regardless of the results of the impossibly long duel. Eventually Nade excused herself to go to the bathroom. Her path didn't take her close to the breakfast club but Nade was rather perceptive and a few minutes after she disappeared into the girls bathroom her friends would recieved a group text.
And then a few minutes after that she returns from the bathroom to take her seat with date once more, chit-chatting about unimportant things and family.

"...well, she knows we are here. I suppose I gave that away."

"No...," Yoshi says to Koshiro, albeit a little uncertainly, "...I think... she'd tell us plainly if she wanted us to go. Just teasing us like this... I think means she's ok with it. We... might as well keep doing what we're doing. Oh and eat, of course; thank you again, Daidoji-san."

"No, she is more direct then that. If she felt uncomfortable, I think she would tell us."
Well, maybe. Nadeshiko had lied to spare someone's feelings before. She had also promised not to do it again, though, so Hinata trusted her. As she contemplated this, she took a sip of her drink, and her expression soured into one of shock and betrayal.
"What the...this is just Amewarashi!"
