She sips her coffee and sets it down, smiling as the music changes
"Your boyfriend?"

"Mako-chan? Well, that is good to hear. She is a friend of mine as well. She is quite lovely, you have my congratulations."
Hinata chuckled quietly.
"As for my boyfriend...well, you may be in for a surprise if you do not listen to rumors. Iweko Yoshinobu."
She smiled and sighed dreamily.
"He is...not at all what you would expect. I like him a lot. In fact I would venture to say I love him."

She looks genuinely happy that the Kuni could have found such a relationship

Hinata smiled wide, which with her subdued expressions was practically a grin. This girl was as forward as Mako, but she acted more like a Hida. It almost made her feel like she was home again.
"It seems we are both rather lucky, neh? And I will not turn a drink down if you are offering. Non-alcoholic, though. It is still fairly early, after-all."

"Away from the wall too long!" she chides playfully, but comes back with two coffees
"So, tell me how the Prince is, when he is not being the prince yeah?"
She sits back with a light smile, waiting for the story

Hinata chuckled at the Badger's boisterous bravado.
"Not at all like you would expect. He is very kind, and considerate. Surprisingly gentle, too, for someone who is a duelist."
Hinata smirked playfully.
"He also rides a moped. He can be a bit of a dork, frankly, but...I can too, so we fit together. His idea of a first date was performing a tea ceremony for me and giving me the hair pin his mother wore when she first met the Emperor."
Hinata took a sip of her coffee, mirth dancing in her eyes.
"Nobody could accuse him of being subtle with his affections. That is not to say he cannot be a cunning courtier, but he is very...open, in private. It is nice."
Hinata sighed, and frowned suddenly.
"I just hope our difference in political station does not bring it all crashing down."

"Fuck that" Priya says "Why should it?! If he loves you, he is the fucking Emperor to be, you can be his if he wants it" she is not shouting, but is animated
"If there is anyone that love can be real for, it is surely the Emperor. Someone has to have a chance. There is no hope for me and Mako to get married, so you and your man have gotta make the best of it!"
She downs a cup of coffee like she had given a toast
"He is yours! And If I can do anything to help with that, then I will!"

Well, it was hard to stay sad around this girl, that much was sure. She had an energy about her that made it seemingly impossible. Hinata's frown disappeared as quickly as it had come.
"I think you are right. But there are a lot of factors to consider, though. There is his parents, for starters. He may be the Prince, but if anyone outranks him it is the Emperor and Empress. There is also the Nakodo, who has the real say over such things."
Hinata did not mention Katsumi, even though she was possibly the biggest threat of all right now. Mako had said that the Otomo harpy would go after he friends, so the less she knew about her friends the better. The time to tell her would be if Katsumi somehow found out they were friends now anyway.
"Still, such things can be overcome. If I can think of a way you can help me, I will be sure to tell you."

"Besides, making friends with the future Empress might be a smart move for my gay marriage proposal" she teases
