She slices her pancakes and starts to nibble on them, taking her bites slowly as she does her best to follow proper etiquette for a meal of this stature.

Otomo Katsumi smiles as she folds her hands together. "Well now that is good, very good indeed." She unfolds her hands and continues to watch the young girl interested. "So how good are you at gathering information? I know it's not quite the detective work you've done in the past I'm just curious?"

"Well part of being a detective is gathering information Otomo-Sensei, So I'm fairly good at it. Of course it depends on the kind of information you're looking for."
She takes another bite of the pancakes before adding more syrup.

She holds out her hands. "Naturally it's digging up dirt on people. Well a certain person I have in mind." She wags her finger in front of her face. "Of course that's where things get complicated Horiuchi-San." She smirks ever so slightly. "I think you know who I intend to have you dig up information on."

Nade didn't stop eating though, finishing off the plate of pancakes before grabbing a muffin off a tray.

Otomo Katsumi smirks and nods her head. "Something like that yes. In the end I dislike anyone who tries to marry the prince for social status." She shrugs her shoulders. "After all she seemed so happy with Gyushi Kogeki. Then the Prince sent her an offer and she took it no looking back. Honestly I doubt she'd of broken up with Gyushi Kogeki for anyone else. Do you not disagree with Horiuchi-San?"

"I'm afraid I can't answer that Otomo-sensei, I only became friends with Hinata after she broke up with Kogeki. Though you are right in that anyone would be lucky to date the Prince and it would take a long while to determine their true motives."
She takes another bite of the muffin, using it to disguise her discomfort with the conversation and keep herself centered.
"So do you want me to find out her true motives for dating the Prince? Or is there something else you want me to do."

She chuckles. "You are quick yes. Of course it goes without saying I'd rather Kuni Hinata not know you were working for me." She stands up and walks over to the girl. "Of course I would like you to be my eyes and ears into Kuni Hinata and all of her schemes." She kneels down next to Horiuchi Nadeshiko.

The muffin is put down and she turns slightly to face Katsumi, glancing down at the Imperial with a curious look.
"Listen Otomo-sensei, I will be honest with you. Hinata is my friend and while I know for a fact she's not your biggest fan I don't believe she has any real plans or schemes at the moment. I won't report on her day to day life with you but if I find out that she is actually planning something nefarious with the Prince... I'll let you know. If that's not okay I'll give back the money and keep this conversation entirely private."

Otomo Katsumi clicks her tongue. "The money was a gift Horiuchi-San. The real payment is something far more valuable." She stands up and walks back to her side of the table. "What I am offering you is a chance to make your dream come true." She sits down in her chair and folds her hands together.
