Eito sits at a desk where he has been for a good part of the day, cup of coffee in hand and tired look in his eyes as he reads through the books. He takes notes as she does so, writing on his tablet with an e-pen. All of the classic books of Philosophy and Ethics are sprawled out on the table. The Sword, Lies, Judgment, The Tao of Shinsei, Ninten. Eito pours over them, trying to figure out their meaning and their prose as he sips his drink in frustration. The sort of frustration that would obscure the approach of Ikoma Gataki. |

He wasn't trying to hide his approach. Why would he? He was idly walking around, familiarizing himself with the campus when he saw the stupid sexy Spider man.
This will be fun.

Eito turns as he hears the greating, breaking into a bright smile. "Ah! Ikoma-san. I am trying to become one of sorts. To try to study how to be a proper one." he says tapping leadership.

"Does company help you with studying? I've met people that prefer solitude."

"Hmm... I like both. Sometimes a distraction helps me with a breakthrough. Oh...wait I guess I am a scholarly type. ish. With math mostly. I am good with finances. And with words in my mouth. Just trying to get better at words on a page. If I want to write the next leadership." he says with a sheepish smile. "Lofty goal but Mirimuto Aiko-sensei helped me realize it needs to happen and nobody else is doing it."

"You most certainly have your way with words. You just said that you preoccuppy yourself with something as distasteful as commerce in a way that most would find acceptable."
He chuckled.
"Just be more careful when you say something like that in front of my clanmates. Most would take offense at the idea of a Spider presuming he can surepass or even compliment the writings of Akodo One-eye. It would be a shame to lose that beautiful head of yours."

Eito laughs softly. "Commerce is the most tasteful thing I do." he says brightly. "I do try to make my villainy acceptable though, it is my job. As for that, I also want to emulate Lies as well. See, the Spider...need a Leadership. We need a The Sword. We have so few heroes and most are either dead and unrecognized or for some reason or another unable to help. They need a path set out for them and while I have no idea if I can pull it off, it's better then sitting around waiting for the rest of my clan to fix our mess."

Eito shrugs. "Most lofty goals do. Nobody ever accomplished anything great that was inoffensive. And yet despite the Onyx Wars, we survive. We exist. But as what? What is our purpose to the Empire? What is our role? Our contribution, our identity? Personally, I think it's as the curators of Shourido and as such, I want to try and nail down what that means. Will it piss people off? Of course it will. But many clans have committed unforgivable sins. The only difference is they had an identity to come back to when they were done paying penance. Right now penance is our only identity."

"I disagree on your statement about great achievements being by default offensive." He stated.
"Indeed as what? Do you actually believe that I am the right person to talk about these things? You will probably not like my answers and I am not in a mood for a fight. Why don't we talk about something less controversial? Do you dress often as a female?"
