Mako was happy to answer, even as she gave little kisses between every word it seemed, drawing it out longer than it needed to be, "Hai. According to Eito-sensei I am one of, if not the, most skilled business people in this school. I have out shown third years who had their major focus in life to be business people." She was proud of herself and had a lot of pride in who she was, and what she could do with any situation that came up in terms of mathematics and business sense.
"I'm better with people though, honestly, and it's more of an immediate focus. I like being likable, and that can matter as much as balancing a budget perfectly." She shrugged, "I haven't been pushing my skills in business above my skills in courtly matters at least." The fact that she was smarter than third years whose whole focus was on business... without it even being her focus? She didn't need to say that out loud.

"Still, can't the two be helpful together? I mean, I usually have Eito-kun do my taxes, but it would certainly be nice to have you doing my taxes wearing what you're wearing right now. It would either be just as boring or much more charming. And I think you could make it the latter with the way you are, the energy you have. Heck, suspect you could pull that off even wearing a business suit."

She beamed... and then a lewd thought crossed her mind, that she said aloud, "Well, I could do your taxes while you were under the table. That might be a little less boring." And then she realized she said it aloud, and blushed a bit, looking a little awkward about it after all, "But thank you. I try my best to be charming. And well, having a truly beautiful person like you around could make any task less boring." A little giggle into her hand, she leaned up, kissing Akane's chin, "I adore you, you know. Why don't you tell me more about you? Anything you like."

If Akane had minded the comment about the table, it sure hadn't shown in her brief grin. Her hands went to Mako's stomach, fingers lacing together over it.
"Well, you know I was born a Matsu I think? Or did that not come up?"

"You told me, briefly. About how you were born to them, but you found family in Kunshu, and... after some trials, became one of the Spider, so you would not be separated." She said it with a little smile on her face, obviously not caring where the woman was from, "I recall saying that you're still you, whichever family you may be, no?" She giggled lightly, leaning back into the woman, waiting for her to tell more, not asking for anything specific. She liked to be here, with this woman, she liked to be held, and... to just have this time. To get to know her.

Akane made a very nice and soft thing to lean into indeed. "Hai, all true I should say; Was born Matsu Aki, though mosta my friends called me Kiki. Spent some years running around a Lion farming village, causing trouble, biking along the levees, throwing rocks with a slingshot..." she chuckled, "I was an energetic trouble maker. And I refused to do anything girly. Unless you counted trying to make every girl in the town into my girlfriend. Not that that meant much to a primary schooler, but I knew I liked pretty women, so I would always ask if they'd be my girlfriend. Caused some fights with some of the boys in town."

"You sound adorable." Mako said it with a giggle, "Yeah? Are you still trying to make every girl in town your girlfriend? Am I one of a dozen~? Two dozen?" She was teasing, but it was a happy teasing, not offended at the idea at all, as she looked up at Akane, "I wish I could say I didn't meet the same energetic troublemaker, but you still seem like you're still that~!" She was having fun, commenting on the woman's life, ignoring the bits about fighting,
"I've been the same I guess. Liking girls and being open about it. I didn't have much luck when I was younger though. I only had two girlfriends my whole time in middle school, and none before that. One of them turned out to be straight, and the other was a... terrible person using me to try and get in with Imperial stuff." She shrugged off that painful memory - it's something she shared with Eunnie, she told herself, - "But I've aaaalways been a girly girl. Hair. Makeup. Clothes. I love that stuff. Sorry if that makes you think I'm terrible." She was once again teasing, a happy bouncy giggle from the small pink hair.

She nipped the tip of one of Mako's ears lightly.
"As far as girlfriends, you're my only one I'm afraid. Aiko-chan is the most special person in the world to me, but she's married, so there's only so much she can be mine or me hers. And my partner, Kunshu-chan, is stuck as a sword for... I wish I knew how long."
Akane gives a brief chuckle, "My love life is shambles really, when I think about it too much..."

Mako blushed at being told she was the only one, she didn't expect to hear that at all, she doubly didn't expect for how much it affected her to hear about it. She pulled away from the nipping of her ear, setting her tea down on a stable bedside table, and wrapped her arms around Akane's neck, giving her a kiss on the lips, "It's not in shambles. You have me, and I like to think I'm pretty great. And I'll be happy to spend every~ day~ with you, if you'd like me to." She giggled as she made the offer, giving another soft peck, no lewd in the kiss - but perhaps a bit of lewd with how their chests pressed together as she did it.
"I'm sorry I'm no Aiko-sensei or Kunshu-sama... but I hope I'm not too bad?"

"You're absolutely wonderful, Mako-chan..." Akane said softly with her forehead against Mako's, leaning in to steal another kiss in turn. Avery very long kiss.
