Akane soaked that in for a bit before realizing what Hisui was saying, "Wait, you're saying like... go steady with the guy? Get married and that kinda thing?"
She didn't seem incredulous. More like... surprised.

She nods. She had Shibatsu Eito in mind, but she chooses not to correct Akane's interpretation. The Hida did seem like a decent man when he was sober.
"Well, you have time. I mean, you look younger than I do, and we both know that's not the case," she says while picking at more of the food. "Never too old to find the right one, as Aiko-chan might say."

"Iie; When I picked it up from the shelter, it was already twelve years old. Kinda sick, skinny. Named it Hatake. Hmph. Only lived two more years before his kidneys gave out, but I tried my best to take care of the little man. Brought him in to show the students in his favorite box full of pillows and let them pet him. I don't think he enjoyed it half as much as they did."
