Kobushi once again found himself wandering by the lake. He hadn't been here in a while, after all. With he and his friends deciding not to meet today, he decides to have a quiet lunch near the lake. The view was calming, peaceful. It reminded him of the wheel and, if he was being honest, that afternoon with Ryuha. He made a mental note to see if she wanted to spend time with him outside of the dojo and pottery room one day.
His meal is simple. Some rice, some fish, some steamed vegetables. A perfectly Crane lunch, if not for the fact that the fish was fried in beer batter. That seemed more like a Crab thing to do than Crane, which made perfect sense. Sometimes Kobushi could be very Crab-like and sometimes he was more like the Crane his name indicated.
Looking out over the waters, he starts digging into his meal. He wonders if he'd end up with some company at some point.

Well, at least two of Kobushi's friends had agreed to lunch separately, with Nadeshiko and Hinata enjoying a slightly upscale lunch in town. Yoshi, on the other hand, had made no such plans and therefore joins the young Crane by the lakeside with his own tray of food brought from the cafeteria.
"Afternoon, Daidoji-san," Yoshi announces his presence before bowing. "I know the girls are eating in town, and Koshiro is probably busy with work. However, I hope you don't mind, but I saw you head out this way and followed." He doesn't sit yet, in case the young Crane was wanting to be left alone.

He turns his head, listening to the Dragon. He shakes his head at that last bit. He knew where the girls were too. Or at least the original two. He didn't know where the new ones were, because he wasn't the sort to pry.
"Not at all. Sit," he says, indicating there's plenty of space. "I don't mind the company."

"Yeah," Yoshi agrees, taking a seat upon the grass. "I used to eat lunch by myself all the time before coming here, but now... I miss having others around. Same thing with praying at the Temple." Although, he missed the Crane at the temple for entirely different reasons than he missed any of his regular lunch crew.
"Anything... on your mind?" Yoshi asks, trying his inexperienced hand at idle conversation.

"It's nice, having a regular lunch group. Easier to make friends, know what to expect. Even if how we all got together wasn't exactly ideal," he says, nodding. "Though I have to admit, I don't go to the temples often. I was never too devout."
When the Dragon asks for what's on his mind, he hesitates. Not that he had nothing on his mind. On the contrary, someone did linger in his thoughts. He just didn't think it was a very good topic for him and Yoshi. So he goes with something he thinks is safer.
"Ever notice there are a lot of pink-haired girls at this school?"

"Yeah," Yoshi says with a chuckle. Smiling, he recalls, "The first person I met here was Asahina Momiko-san. After that, I mistook Otomo Mako-san and Yasuki Tsubasa-san for her upon seeing them each for the first time. I... really like Momiko... a lot." He recalls the evening spent at her house the night before and his smile grows as he eats with his friend.

"Well, she seems like a nice girl from what I saw. A little timid, but that seems fine for you," he comments. He picks on his food a little before continuing. "But I thought you were interested in a…Kakita Tsuki-san, was it?"

"I... really like them both...," Yoshi quietly admits with a frown, obviously feeling very conflicted about it. "The problem is, Tsuki-san may be promised to someone else, though a lot of people are telling me not to even consider that, herself included... implicitly, anyway... I think? And Momiko-san... wasn't even ready to consider dating me... until she suddenly changed her mind just last night. Both situations are... really confusing." He gives Kobushi a rather helpless look.
"I don't suppose you're... having any similar problems?" he asks hopefully, wanting maybe some advice or at least a little sympathy.

The Crane takes a moment to think. The Dragon boy's romantic endeavors certainly seemed much more complicated than his own. Then again, he wasn't sure that he had any romantic endeavors to speak of. In a rare moment of pragmatic insight, he realizes this is exactly the problem.
"A little bit. Yours seems more complex than mine," he answers eventually. "I like her. At least, I'm pretty sure I do. I think she likes me. I think it might go somewhere, if given the time and if neither of us gets anything wrong. Not really sure we qualify as dating, though."

"Do you mind... saying who it is?" Yoshi asks. Smiling a bit, he also suggests, "I could... maybe talk to her on your behalf... or something." Kakita Isao had done the same for him in regards to Tsuki, and he considers himself a much closer friend to Kobushi than Isao was to him, so how could he not offer to help the Daidoji?
