Enigmas.
The Asako Pocket Dictionary defined "Enigmas" as "a person or thing that is mysterious, puzzling, or difficult to understand." One may wonder why a bushi, a Battle Maiden of all things, would be interested in such things. One would be even more inclined to wonder why said Battle Maiden would not only know of these things, but also understand enough to teach students about it.
It begs the question, "Shouldn't a Togashi be teaching this?"
Well, no Togashi stepped up. Or were qualified for the job. Hisui didn't care which. All that mattered was that she had a class to teach. While the paperwork originally suggested it would be about the Spirit Realms, it shifted to the purview of the Fortune Muzaka instead. That suited her just fine. It was her area of expertise, arguably. After all, didn't research into her particular spiritual malaise count as an enigma?
She set a small figure of the Fortune in question on the right corner of her desk. Perhaps as a reminder of which divinity was being invoked by the nature of the class.
"Who says only Togashi can speak in riddles?" she says to herself.
The question "Where can one find an honest man?" is written on the board, big enough for a full classroom to see.

Always one to worry over punctuality, Tamori Yoshi makes his way to Enigmas class early, so as not to be late. He's actually one to worry over a great many things, but as a Dragon, he feels confident that he'll take naturally to a class such as this. However, upon his arrival, he's stopped in his tracks by a surprising sight; the teacher he sees before him is the same Unicorn woman that he spied singing in the Courtyard earlier this morning. He looks around, certain that she must just be in here visiting this class's actual teacher during the break between, but there's no other faculty member in sight. Bowing to her, he nervously finds a desk, takes a seat, and stares in slowly growing dread at the question on the blackboard. This wasn't going to be what he was expecting at all, was it?

Unsurprisingly, this class seems to attract Dragon students like iron to a lodestone. Sakura takes a seat near the front of the class, looking at the board and just... contemplating it for a while without saying a word.

Reiha had checked the schedule, but none of the other classes really appealed. She has no idea what to expect, but she has her sketchbook and pencils with her, as usual.
Noone could mind her drawing a bit as they were contemplating the deeper mysteries of the universe, right?
She gives the sensei the customary bow and greeting and takes her seat. Boy, the rest of the students are all Dragons?

Where can one find an honest man?
Chiyo knew of one personally, but she promised she wouldn't tell anyone about that. Not to their face and not in front of a class. More like in the form of a note slipped around in class, or some writing in a bathroom stall.
Maybe it's one of those pun-riddles--you know. Like 'What's black and white and read all over?"
The Bayushi knew better, honestly, but she also knew this was probably one of the easiest classes to pass. Everyone knows half this shit is thinly veiled metaphors for death and sex. At least one of those two things she had a nugget of expertise in. After all, she bets nobody in this class will have devoured as many trashy romance novels as she has--even the Unicorn.
She bowed to the teacher like a polite first year, though the wry smile she offered Hisui suggested that she would be no less trouble than she had been before. Only this time, more of a silent but deadly rather than a loud and proud.
Then, she took a seat by her favorite little Dragon with a tiny wave. "Ohaio, Tamori-san! What a most pleasant surprise!"

Natsu has bunkered down at a table in the back, looking unhappily down at her school uniform, which does indeed look a bit tight around her stomach if one looks closely. She seems content to be quiet and listen for now.

Hisui glances around, and then finally speaks once the students are settled.
"Welcome to Enigmas class."
"I am your sensei, Utaku Hisui. I trust you all know the definition of enigma, so you're not all completely in the dark." She smiles. "But, rest assured, it won't all be riddles. The Empire, the Spirit Realms, magic, science. There are so many unanswerable questions, and we'll touch upon them in time."
"Now then. Tamori-san, please stand up. Introduce yourself to the class. Answer the question on the board, and then…pose a different one to the next person to introduce themselves."

Unsurprisingly, this class seems to attract Dragon students like iron to a lodestone. Sakura takes a seat near the front of the class, looking at the board and just... contemplating it for a while without saying a word. Sakura's contemplation is momentarily interrupted by a greeting from her eager young clanmate, calling quietly to her desk up front from his desk nearer the middle of the room, "Good morning, Mirumoto Sakura-san. I am... pleased to see a familiar face, and a cousin too." And it seemed he wasn't the only one.... Then, she took a seat by her favorite little Dragon with a tiny wave. "Ohaio, Tamori-san! What a most pleasant surprise!" With plenty of seats to choose from, Yoshi can't help but smile as Chiyo greets him and selects one nearby, bowing and adding with enthusiasm that mirrored hers, albeit quieter, "Good morning, Bayushi-sama!" "Now then. Tamori-san, please stand up. Introduce yourself to the class. Answer the question on the board, and then…pose a different one to the next person to introduce themselves." "I am Tamori Yoshi," he does as instructed, bowing to everyone assembled. Having been thoroughly distracted by all the pretty girls entering, some of whom he knew, the lone boy in class looks at the blackboard in thought for a while before clearing his dry throat and answering, "Well the... the Kitsuki... have actually devised a method, to verify a man's honesty not just through corroborating or conflicting testimony, but also through the examination of... enviornmental elements... present at the scene of... oh...." He looks at the question again. "I'm sorry, it says "where" not "how", Utaku-sensei," he says, looking down at his feet in embarrassment. Deciding to talk it out, he continues, "Um... you could theoritically find one anywhere, but... oh! You could find one on his deathbed." He smiled, thinking he had come up with a fairly clever answer, even though it was still based in a modicum of legal knowhow he'd picked up at the Kitsuki school, about deathbed confessions. Whether it was "correct" or not, he still had another task to fulfill, so he turns to Chiyo, still smiling. "Bayushi-sama," he says to her, "if two people have formed a bond, and one of them is like unto a flower, what is the other one like?" He grins knowingly as he takes his seat, hoping that Chiyo would appreciate his gesture of throwing her what only she and he would know was a rather softball question.

The Bayushi was, of course, jealous of the attention Yoshi spared other cute girls in the room. It was her finger she wanted the young Dragon tied around and no one else's. Chiyo doesn't do sharing.
Ah, but a clever little newt. Chiyo smiles softly, but she sees where Tamori-san is going with his riddle. She tips her head to him before standing and delivering her introduction to the class.
"This one is Bayushi Chiyo, and I believe I have arrived at an answer to your query, Tamori-san. If two people have formed a bond, and one of them is like unto a flower, then the other must be unto a bee. The two share a symbiotic relationship, as do the people who have found themselves bound by luck or providence."
She offers the Dragon a warm smile, but when she turns to Doji Reiha next, it nearly looks sinister. "I have one for Doji-sama. You play with this at night before going to sleep. You can’t get caught fiddling with it at work. You only let a select few people touch it. What is it?"

The first two made sense to Sakura, but then there was the Scorpion's choice. She blinks rapidly, trying to figure it out. This really was a good enigma.
