Umeko sat behind her desk, eyes staring unfocused out the window. There was a closed box beside her, and a few stacks of paper on the desk. What a start to the week... The botanist was having a hard time wrapping her head around all that had happened so far. She blinked as the bell that signified the end of the previous call rang, forcing herself to focus on her current task: Teaching.
She pulled herself up and picked up the stacks of paper. Umeko began distributing them along the empty student desks as she waited for them to appear. Outside, on the door the following sign had been pinned up:

Utaku Hitomi was apparently the first one to enter. The shy young Unicorn looked over to the Botanist and bowed her head. "Greetings... Sensei?" Having never met a Ronin she was unsure how to properly greet the teacher. She swallowed nervously and found a desk near the back.

Momiko was only the second one to class, making sure to be early today as opposed to scrambling in last minute like yesterday. Seeing only one girl, whom she did not recognize, there so far, Momiko found a seat somewhere near to a window.

Mayumi saw some familiar faces from her last class, and bowed to the teacher and those that were there. she sat down next to Momiko.

Mochihime saunters in, her backpack casually slung over her shoulder. She gives a little wave and 'ohayo' in the teacher's general direction. She had quickly skimmed some papers on the subject, and the academic world, as well as popular wisdom, is unanimous that taking an interest in your paramour's hobbies is strongly recommended. And who is she to argue with science-based facts?
Anyway. He likes plants. Go figure. The idea of just waiting and watching them grow is a bridge too far, but perhaps applied herbalism is palatable?

"Good Morning, Umeko-sensei, All!" Hida Takeshi said, Bowing to the class. He quickly finds a place to sit and lets out an exhausted sigh.

Yoruga got in and was pleasantly surprised by Otomo Mochihime. He nodded to Hida Takeshi and Asahina Momiko and then approached the desk. "Blessings upon you and yours Umeko-sensei." He greeted her. After that he sat in a desk next to the Imperial. "Hime-chan, that was unexpected but extremely pleasant." He whispered to her. |

"Eh, think nothing of it. You like this plant stuff, so I'm sure it won't be a waste of my time."
Mochihime shrugs.
"Anyway, infusions to sharpen the mind, enhance concentration and reflexes could give a useful edge in the Build Fighter circuit."

Umeko nodded to the students as they filled in. She waited for the bell to ring before closing the door and walking to stand before her desk. Unlike yesterday when she was all smile, this time she looked at them with a serious, almost dark expression.
"Good morning, welcome to the herbal medicine class." She started, brown eyes scanning their faces. "In case you don't know me, I am Umeko-sensei. Now, before we start I would like to go over a few points. First, let me start by saying that even if you are students I consider every one of you an adult and will treat you as such. That means that I will assume that you are mature and responsible enough to understand the seriousness of this class. It also means that should you abuse the knowledge you obtain in this class and I learn of it, you will be punished as an adult." She paused, letting her warning float in the air for a moment. "Do you understand?" The woman stressed. "There are plants we will learn about over the course of the year, that can heal in small quantity but kill when administered badly."

The young Unicorn nods her head. She would never hurt anyone at least not intentionally. She came here with the hope of learning a way to help people who were injured. She swallowed nervously and had a pen and paper ready to take plenty of notes to avoid any accidents in the future.
