Rodrigo winced shook his hand at the blow, more out of surprise than pain. Well, this teacher was certainly strict, wasn't she? Then again, combat trainers usually were. He'd heard his dad's stories about drill sergeants in the military.
He took the instruction to heart, and fixed his grip. He also tried to focus, but the task eluded him for some reason. The concept of clearing his mind was still entirely foreign to him. As such, his strikes were quick and precise, but lacked any sort of rhythm to them.

Fuyu continues to pace. As the Daidoji makes a mistake he feels a WHAP on the part of his body that made a mistake, usually she tries to aim at the muscle that erred, as a reminder. She looks over to the other two. "Once we have mastered this, we will move on to a simple Dragon Stance and strike."

The Daidoji is accustomed to much worse than that, though normally not on areas other than his head. He does, however, use the reminders to correct the stance as best he can. He applies the corrections to his attempts, moving more smoothly now than in his earlier attempts. Fear is a very powerful correctional tool if applied in the right way.

Kaizen seems to be in a trance like state as he continues his movements. There are moments when he feels that he is off a little. When that happens he opens his eyes and rechecks himself. Adjusting his foot placement and hand placement. He reverts vack to going through the motion slowly, almost meditative like. And once he finds his groove again. He goes back to his normal practice speed.

Kaizen as well gets a few WHACKS when she notices his foot and hand placement off, correcting him as well. She continues to run them through the drills for a bit. "Alright, As you can see these are very basic strike/stance pairings. But you will be expected to memorize them and executed at the right speed they can be enough to save your life in a proper duel."

Upon the whacks, he double checks the points where she whacked. It was a subtle change. This must be the Cran Perfection that he heard so much about. When she spoke again he pasued what he was doing and looked toward her. "Yosh" he nodded, ready for the next lesson

Kobushi only nod, breathes. He still has much to learn, he knows. Still, he was at least learning. He wasn't terrible at it, which runs against everything he expected about his performance in this class.
"Yes, sensei."
