"Methinks the lady doth protest too much," Saito says to the other men, chuckling at Hisui. "Fear not; you're younger than me, child. Just imagine how ridiculous I would look with a pretty petite Crane upon my arm. She's... what... 25 if she's a day? With you though, it's far more plausible pairing." He turns to Eito.
"Thank you for the clarification, Shibatsu-san," Saito says. "Though... you may want to have a care how frivolously you use the word 'ancient' around sensitive ears... such as my own." He smiles and inclines his head to Hisui before taking another drink.

"She's actually..." Don't say a year older "...closer to my age than that. She's just remarkably well-preserved. But I'll be sure to pass your compliments on her age along, Shosuro-san."

Eito throws his hands up. "I will be careful with my words. And you are radiant Utaku-san, I on the other hand, well I feel ancient perhaps." he says with a shrug. "And really? She is quite well preserved. I should ask her how she does it. See if I can invest in whatever product or exercise regimen she uses."

Hisui smiles, though it's more out of politeness than accepting what she saw as flattery. "If I might ask, why have you been so reluctant to socialize with your peers these past few days?" Kangei smiled to the Unicorn sensei "It is no great matter I simply go through times when I find company less than agreeable and I fear I am no great joy to be around either. Usually it is just a day or two but I must be adjusting to teaching many of the past few days it was all I could do to get out of bed." he says this all with his typical pleasant, neutral smile. When the topic came to discussing age the relatively young crane thought it best to simply sit and observe not believing there was a meaningful way he could engage. |

Kangei smiled at the collective support of his fellow teachers, he regarded Saito with an admiring look "Well now Shosuro-sensei it would be most fortunate if we could all follow your example of compassion and strength." he delivered the words with no hint of sarcasm or venom.
"Thank you Shibatsu-san I think it would be most enjoyable for us to hang out again sometime our last meeting ended on such an interesting note." Kangei flashed back to their last meeting ending with Kangei's stolen kiss.
