Yokohime is not fond of libraries but this needed to be researched. She looked at the librarian. Not a familiar face. She expected Natsuko or Bunko but it wasn't either of them. The girl probably would be kicked out for not having a current library card. She asked for a book about the construction of the school. Obsidian

There wasn't a book, no one had apparently been interested enough to write an entire tome about the history of the school. However, the librarian was more than happy to point Yokohime towards computers where she could research articles written about it and find primary sources. That was likely her best bet and work wonders better than any of the book in the library.
"Everything else is here say, stuff just passed down by word of mouth through the faculty. No one has compiled anything in one nice neat place. That what you are trying to do sensei?"

"I am trying to find out who built the statues of the shrines." Yoko explained.

"Alright. Then I would search for these keywords." The Librarian pulled up an online article database on a nearby computer.
"Use these keywords, or something like them if the first search doesn't reveal any results. 'Rokugan High School,' 'Temples,' and maybe something like 'Founded.' That should narrow things down."

"Oh... okay." She typed <Rokugan High Temple origins>

Yokohime finds a newspaper article about the founding of the school.
The school was founded nearly ninety years ago, a joint collaboration between all of the great clans and the Imperial line. Meant as a place for students to learn and learn to work together, training them for a life of duty. Other officials from the nearby Toshi Ranbo Secondary School (which has since became just Toshi Ranbo High) were worried the school might end up causing theirs to close down.
It goes into detail about who helped construct the temple grounds (as well as the other buildings), but the relevant info reveals a collaboration between the Phoenix and the Lion Clans. It does not name specific names, at least not in this article. Another search would likely be required.

Many of the sensei from RHS's rival school TRHS at the time have long passed away by now, as well as the students. This was ninety years ago, after all. She was able to find some old yearbooks from the other school, with a list of faculty and students though.

Once more she found a yearbook, this time for RHS. It listed both the students, staff, and all of the faculty on board for the school's inaugural year.
