Yia had spent the last few days... well, let's not dwell on where - but today she had spent the morning before class preparing what had to be done for her class. A single large, low table sat in the room, decorated by only natural light coming in through a variety of small windows. The tea room had been set gloriously, and her tea set sat at the head of the table. A large rack sat outside the door of the room, with a variety of colors of kimono - unfortunately mostly in the color of the Great Clans, leaving most minor clans without representation. Under the rack were a dozen tabi in a variety of colors, pristine and never used. A small beautifully written sign simply read 'please change before entering the tea room'.
She had to only wait now, in hopes that the students would enter her domain, wherein she was the expert.

Tamori Yoshi, being a member of the Tea Club, thought he should bone (porcelain) up on the ceremony itself before the Club had another meeting. What better way, he reasoned, than to take the class offered by its Faculty Advisor? He fumbles for quite some time, changing into the traiditional kimono bearing Dragon Clan colors from those provided outside the classroom, but eventually he does manage to enter and bow in greeting to the sensei.

Uetani arrives, already dressed correctly from her own stores. She bows to the Sensei, deeply and then to her friend, taking her seat in the traditional manner.

"Oh... um... right," Yoshi says, smiling and nodding at Uetani for the reminder. He bows to her in greeting quickly, then also sits at the table in a seiza, looking expectantly at the sensei, though he is aware that others may still be arriving.

Yoshinobu is the next to arrive, walking into the room dressed in one of the kimono that was provided. This one bore the colors of the Dragon, perhaps to honor his Grandmother's ancestry as a once Kitsuki. Or... truthfully... it was because of the morning's events that he is not wearing something from his own wardrobe - how forgetful. The neutral expression on his face may have reveal a bit more, as he normally wears a somewhat cheerful disposition.
He bows to Yia appropriately, gaze lingering on her a moment longer than perhaps necessary, before he makes his way over towards his other class mates. He then bows to both Uetani and Yoshi, rising with a small smile and ready for the class to begin.

Bai enters the room in a provided robe, Phoenix clan colors of course. He bows to the Sensei first, then looks to his fellow classmates, hesitating as he notices who else is in attendance. He knew the prince went to the school, but this was the first time he was in the same class. He bows to the prince before the other students. He is mostly successful at not looking only at the prince while waiting for the class to formally begin.

Tea ceremony wasn't really Ichiro's thing but he knew It was something Uetani was into so he figured at least learning the basics of it might be nice to know. He didn't bring a kimono from home as he hadn't planned on using one but he changed into the lion one provided by the teacher.
He walked in and bowed to the sensei, damn she was pretty hot but lets focus on learning. He nods to Yoshi, his roommate might have questions as to why Ichiro never cam back to the room last night but Ichiro figured the kid was smart enough to figure it out. He is slightly surprised to see Uetani but recovers quickly sliding down next her gracefully. "I figured you would have left already."

Yia looked over the gathered crowd - many face she hadn't seen at tea club, and some she had. Her voice was quiet, just barely speaking loud enough to address the room, but there was a solidness to it, "Welcome, students, to what I hope shall be an eye-opening, and yet relaxing experience, where you might experience a one-ness, and lose track of the worries in your hearts." She stepped gracefully towards the door, and closed it shut - anyone who had not entered already would not be welcomed in. A quiet look of approval went over those gathered, lingering on the Prince, who was wearing the colors of her Clan. An oddity, but one that she enjoyed, even if only done to flatter the sensei.
As she stepped back from the door, she finally introduced herself, "For those who have not formally met me, I am Togashi Yia." Her voice was more like a Doji's than a Togashi's - just the right level to be heard, without being loud enough to draw attention from those distracting themselves, as of yet. "I would ask, first, of each of your's familiarity with the art of the Ceremony. I would then ask why you chose to learn the art, either today, or when you learned it in the past - there are no wrong answers to these questions, I assure you."

"I know the basics," Yoshi volunteers, "but... you already knew that, Togashi-sensei. So, um... I first learned it from my obaa-san, because my family is... pretty traditional. I came to learn more today, because... I want to be an asset to Tea Club, not just... relaxing and trying new teas... though I do look forward to that part too." He bows at the end while also giving Yoshinobu, as Captain of the Tea Club and his newest close friend, an additional nod.

Ichiro looked sheepish. He is out of his element here and he is not used to being places where he knows nothing but he raises his hand and when called upon "I know very little about the ceremony another student has performed it for me a couple of times." His eyes dart to Uetani next to him "and my father attempted to teach me but I had little patience and so did he. I want to learn it because it seems important to someone important to me."
