Swish! The blade followed the shaft as it arced down in guided strike. Her chest rose and fell with the swing and then once after, a synchronized action with the basic form she held. Her hands rose back and fell, almost mechanically, back into a readied pose. For the fortieth time she set her eyes forward on a target that did not exist, gave her intent to kill this non-existance, and brought the blade of the naginata back down. Swish!
Tsuki had opted to practice this morning considering where she would be heading later on. Not that it had ever been an expectation of her sensei to understand and learn, and her parents had already given her the tools she truly needed, but the lessons of war and a readiness to work their own hands should never be overlooked. Her mother had known this, her father had lived this, and she too would see to it that the lesson continue with her. She could not always rely on the kami to see her through. She held to much respect and reverence for them to so brazenly believe that the kami were a force to summon up at one's leisure. So with the Naginata she trained, as she did with her bare hands.
