It was still raining when Momiko arrived at her usual comic store, for once not disguised as 'Momo-chan'. She looked around to see if Tamori Yoshi was there yet as she folded up her umbrella and put it in the holder.

Having to take buses to his destinations within the city, Yoshi tries to err on the side of caution with his arrival times. Even though he'd stopped briefly at the Campus Temples to pray before coming here, he had arrived generously early to his next date with Momiko. She spies him soon enough, standing by the 'Momo's recommendations' section of the shop with a comic in hand. He sees her too, not so engrossed in reading that he isn't also looking up every two seconds in eager anticipation.
"Hi...," he says with a smile, walking up to greet her after putting the comic back. He's not too wet, since the bus stop is pretty close to the shop and his jacket is hanging up on a provided rack by the door. Leaning in, he whispers, "Should I use your other name while we're in here?"

Momiko walked up, just stopping from hugging the boy as she half bounced to a stop in front of him, shaking her head, "Iie; I'm just Momiko right now. That's all. I'm just going to be myself while I'm here with you. Like anything you've seen so far?"
Momiko was still dressed in what she'd gone to the museum in, a skirt and long sleeve button up shirt, with no socks in her loafers.

"I haven't been looking too long," Yoshi admits. He points to a manga with a pair of women in school uniforms laughing together on the cover. "I was trying to find something maybe slice-of-life or romance, but the girls kept getting magical powers." He gives Momiko a grin, edging a little more into her personal space, perhaps pining a bit for that hug he almost got.
"I'm glad you're going to be yourself," he tells her quietly, "because that's who I like best."

Momiko smiled broadly and gave a small nod, "Hai, I suppose you'll mostly just find hero comics in there, of one variety or another. Still, maybe we could find something else together?"

"I have... recently developed a greater appreciation for superheroes," Yoshi says, raising his eyebrows conspiratorially. After giving a small chuckle, he continues, "But yeah, I'd like to see what else they have; lead the way." He reaches out for Momiko's hand, ready to be taken among the many shelves by the shop's pink-haired regular patron.

Momiko had learned by that point that the brush of his hand against hers meant something, so she took it in her own, walking beyond the end cap into the isles, "You said 'slice of life' and 'romance', right? So the sorts of dramas with every day situations?"

"Yeah," he agrees as he follows along behind her. "Although... I've always had trouble relating to even everyday situations... especially when it comes to romance. I guess I started reading them as a way to... sort of see what I was missing? I haven't sought them out much since coming to RHS. It practically feels like I'm living one here." Or maybe he was living a superhero one, considering who he was dating.

She lets out a chuckle, "I know what you mean; It's certainly been unexpected. I thought I'd just be sitting in the back of classes not talking to anyone."

"Me too," he admits. In that moment, he is reminded of all their similarities, which he'd noted since the very first time they met. If it hadn't been for fateful happenstance bringing them together in the Administrative Offices on their first day at the school, perhaps sitting quietly at desks is all either of them would've had. Instead, they found in each other someone like themselves to whom they could open up, and that discovery changed everything that came after for the better.
