Momiko's socks are a bit wet, but she doesn't mind as they enter the shop. It end up being a travel store, a whole wall taken up with various luggage. The rest of the store are shelves of travel pillows, luggage tags, ponchos, and so forth. One whole aisle is nothing but umbrellas.
"Do you wish to choose one out by yourself?" Momiko asks as she folds up the umbrella that had mostly protected them for the past five minutes.

"You know all the best stores, Momiko-chan," Yoshi says, recalling her taking him to just the perfect incence shop their second time running into each other by chance. It seemed so long ago, with everything else that had happened between them since. However, it was also reassuring to him that it felt so similar to now, just the pure joy of spending time together, following her around the city. Being in the process of falling for her and acknowledging their attraction hadn't changed or taken away what they'd started with, only built upon it.
"I'll just... get whatever's cheapest," he says with a shrug, not imagining putting much thought into what was essentially a utilitarian purchase. "It'll be better than nothing."

"Neh neh; I want to buy you one. Please?"
She turned towards him, umbrella put away, hands behind her back as she leans forwards a little so her face is level with his.

"Ok, ok," Yoshi says, nodding and smiling. This new information didn't immediately change his priorities, as he would still want to pick the cheapest so as not to take advantage of her generosity nor give the impression that her wealth was a factor at all in why he liked her. However, after some thought, he realizes her offer was meant as a direct deterrant to choosing one based on price. So, with a new perspective, he peruses the selection until he finds one that meets a new criteria.
"How about this one?" he says, pulling one out of the display. It's actually a decent size, perhaps that they could even comfortably share if ever she forgot her own. It also has a curved faux-wood handle, and while it's black on the outside, the inside has printed on it a picture of a blue sky with puffy clouds and birds flying.

"Oooooh, it is so big. It's like the one Jio uses when he is escorting me. I like it. We would not need to huddle so close. Need to of course~"
She smiles and blushes happily.
"And I like the two color design."

"I like the blue of the sky inside," he adds. It should be noted that it was almost a Crane blue. He smiles along with her, saying, "I think this is the one. Thank you so much, Momiko-chan." He then bows and presents it to her, so that she may take it to the register for purchase.

After taking it and buying it, she meets him at the door, "Let us use yours. Take it for a test walk? Neh?"

"Have I told you lately that your ideas are great?" he asks with a teasing grin. Standing in the travel shop doorway, he opens his new gift into the sidewalk area beyond and tilts it upward for them to huddle under together. As she'd said, they don't need to stand too close... but they do. However they end up returning to the dorms doesn't really matter; they'd find their way back eventually. What's important was, even though they'd arrived to this shopping date separately, they were departing it closer than ever.
[Seems a good note on which to...]
