"The younger generations should take a History class, then," Saito answers Yokohime's first assertion. To both of them, he frowns and asks with a bit of suspicion, "Also, who said anything about gathering to talk about restoring your Clan? Ah, but I forget you are samurai and don't need any emotional support from one another. If you gather together, it's to plot." Granted, even though he was being sarcastic in this case, he actually felt that way about himself, and being a Scorpion, a gathering was alomst certainly made for plotting. He did comprehend the needs of others though, even if he didn't have them himself.
"And what passion is it that you have, Kitsune-san?" he asks just Bokaru finally. "Or were you only speaking in general terms?"

"The history sensei depending on the clan would probably skip the whole Mantis being a great clan." She shrugged. "Any ways... I got permission to raise the boat."

He Bokaru regarded Saito first "Well Shosuro-san I was speaking rather generally. I have many passions from nature, to spellcraft, as indicated by the classes I teach. I have also rather enjoy this new build fighter craze that is cropping up, I prefer to build them more than play."
He then looks at Yoko quizzically "raise a boat you say?"

"As I suspected, I am very much the odd one out amongst the three of us, based on your stated interests, Kitsune-san," he says with a mildly sarcastic sigh. "What Yokohime-san is referring to is a boat that sunk in the campus lake some 20-odd years ago, owned by a former student who is also mother of a current student." He turns to Yokohime to see if he left anything pertinent out.

Yokohime nodded to Saito. "That is correct. I spoke with the earth Kami and they told me that to raise it we needed some earth shugenja." She looked at Saito. "I know that many of the scorpion are not attuned with earth but you might know some people." Then turned to Bokuro and smiled. "I think you might be able to help."

he smiled softly "the earth kami and I are on quite good terms I pray to them regularly. If you need assistance simply tell me where and I will do my best to be there."

"Having only taken this position at the start of the term, those I know well enough to call in favors all reside back in our Clan's provinces," Saito admits to Yokohime. "Please do keep me informed of your progress, of course. Also, if you fall short of funds, something may be able to be arranged." There was a lot of money that was supposed to be fronted to a pair of Otomo to keep them complacent while the screws were turned, but he reasoned that if the Clan was already resigned to have it missing from their coffers, it could perhaps be redirected to gaining the favor of the many esteemed sensei who were taking up the young ronin's cause.
