Susumu Eito waits in the small room of the restaurant he reserved for himself and Asahina Kangei wearing a simple black silk suit and with a small newspaper on the table he was reading while he waits. He spent most of the day working on his book and as such it was nice to have a break where he could talk to the handsome young teacher and perhaps get to know him better. The place he chose was a simple Crane Eatery known for some of their elegant fish recipes, something he hoped the other man would appreciate. |

Kangei approached the agreed upon meeting place wearing a rather fine worsted suit in black with a turquoise shirt and white tie. Kangei walks up to Eito and gives him a respectful bow "Eito-san, I am glad we could do this, it has been too long since we have shared a meal." The crane seated himself across from Eito "I appreciate your choice of venue, this place has some excellent fish."

Eito raises a brow as he bows. "And here I had hoped to surprise you, ah well. I will settle for gladdening you then." he says as he takes his seat again. "Kangei-san, you look wonderful this evening though it has indeed been far too long."

"Oh Eito-san it is my business to know things, information is power and I like having as much power as I can." He says with a small grin "It is very thoughtful though I appreciate you accommodating me. Perhaps one day we can find a restaurant that serves food from your homeland, I have never had spider cuisine before."
He smiled at Eito's comment "Why thank you I always like to look my best when I am meeting a friend. You look quite handsome as well, though that is no change from the norm."

Eito chuckles. "Ah! Well, not an unwise statement. I can get some Spider food for us sometime, if you like living dangerously. It's closer to Gajin or Unicorn food then anything here. Considering most of our culture developed in the colonies." he says softly.
"Ah! Well I am happy that you appreciate it then. I am sure we will get all sorts of silly little rumors though"

Kangei waves a hand dismissively "and so what if they do, people rarely listen to rumors. Haven't you heard the rumor that I have sp-p-pah-speech impediment?" he says chuckling after affecting a pretty believable stutter.
"As for the spider food, I haven't shied awar from *anything* you've told me about your culture yet have I?" his smile is a bit more mischievous than usual, one gets the sense that he is more relaxed here than at school.

Eito smiles. "Honestly out of the rumors too long is a bad thing. It means you aren't worth talking about. I do hope your poor speech impediment clears up though."
He then chuckles. "You haven't actually. Part of me is wondering if you really are thinking of joining up. Still I hope my culture at least feels welcoming to you." he says with that same playfull smile.

"true enough Eito-san, one must always keep their name circulating if they expect to stay relevant." He smiled softly as he ordered his food, his voice as always light and pleasant much like a summer breeze gently flowing through ones hair.
his eyes danced with a playful light "I've heard of worse propositions than the spider. Especially if they are all as welcoming as their representative, I've heard many tales of the dangerous beauties that are within the spider clan."

Eito smiles. "I admit, I am likely one of the nicer flowers in the Spider Clan. Hence why I make sure to be so visible. But there are many good men and women, dangerous and beautiful but kind as well in my clan. I hope I am one of those dangerous beauties myself though Kangei-san." he says with his teasing melodic voice.

In an uncharacteristically bold move the young crane's hand lightly covers the spider's. "If I may, you are one of the prettiest flowers i've seen since I arrived here." his finger tips trailing slowly across Eito's hand as he pulled back "I hope to become more familiar with this particular flower."
