Eito cocks his head a moment before he smiles, allowing the gesture and the trailing of his fingers. "I am in bloom. An open book. And and I shall be glad to say my beautiful gardener." he offers with a teasing sort of smile, clearly he does not mind the bold approach.

well well this was going pretty much as he imagined it would "A book I plan to read through extensively." he said as he leaned back into a casual position "so Eito-san tell me how the past few days have been treating you. Anything exciting you have been up to during my hiatus?"

Eito chuckles. "Writing. I have determined to write a book. A great work of technique and philosophy of Shourido. It's a lofty goal but it's something I hope can serve as a light for the Spider Clan. Also been helping an old freind raise a boat that sank some twenty years ago."

Kangei's eyebrows slowly rose as Eito spoke "well well you are certainly working on some exciting things it seems, a book and a boat I must wish you luck in both of these as either one alone seems like a task worthy of Akodo-kami himself. Well perhaps not the writing bit there is likely a better fortune to complete that task." he said with a chuckle." He threw on a face of dramatic regret "I wish I brought you some exciting tale of exploration and discovery but I have sadly mostly been cooped up in my room. I hope my wit and charm will be offerings enough for you."

Eito shrugs. "Necessity causes such things. Well not the boat. The boat is me doing a favor for some old dear friends. I admit Akane-sensei is my weakness. Can't say no to her. But the writing is something I realized was needed."
He gives a sympathetic smile to the man. "Your wit and charm are a noble offering. Though I hope whatever sadness or trouble led you to your room has passed. If not is it anything I can help with?"

Kangei gave an appreciative look to the charming older man "thank you for your concern Eito-san but it is just a general malaise which afflicts me at times. saps me of all my strength and willpower. Nothing to be done about from what I understand." he speaks matter of factly not fishing for sympathy.

Eito nods slightly. "I know about such malaise. Mine are more specific and I tend to work through them but not to my credit. It's easy to lock yourself in a room with ledgers until the problems get better." he says gently. "I hope they do not trouble you too long."

"Ne Eito-san they trouble me for periods at a time and then pass allowing me to be normal and productive. My training allows me to conduct myself if necessary with no hint of issue. I am glad to hear that you have a way to work through yours though. that is delightful." the crane's voice was perfectly pleasant and held no trace of sarcasm.

Eito nods before he cocks his head. "Well I am glad to see you out. Have your classes been of any help? Have you enjoyed them so far? I enjoy mine despite the dwindling numbers."

Kangei smiled wide "I do indeed there is no shortage of young courtiers who need to learn the way of the courts. Most of my classes have had solid numbers it is, rewarding to be able to pass along my knowledge to the next generation."
