Hisui nods in agreement. "At the very least, the two of us can try to coordinate. Figure out how we'd move in a fight," she suggests. She admits she is curious what Fuyuko is like in one. "But for that, we'd need to have an idea how the other fights."

Fuyu nods. "I need to get back in practice. I have done mostly duels. I need to warm up for an actual fight. Also, I tend to leave myself vulnerable when I fight."

"I need to get back in practice, too," she admits. She hadn't been in a fight in years. "On horseback, I focus on the attack. Force, momentum, and speed. I could do the same on foot, but I'm not as capable. But…I do have some training as a bodyguard. I'm no Shiba, but I can watch your back if you need me to."

Fuyu raises her brow. "Oh... well bodyguard is good. But also if you need you can be on horseback. It might cause chaos, you galloping around. Clear some space for me to find my perfect strikes. I....have you seen my blessing in action?"

She shakes her head. "I haven't seen it in actual combat, no. Why? Should I be worried?" she asks, tilting her head a little. "And I can fight on foot. Whether as your armor or as another sword. But…I admit, my first impulse would be to cover you."

Fuyuko bites her lip. "I um... Emma-o has given me the ability to sustain myself by claiming the life of others. Some find it visually...disturbing?" she says before she nods. "I mean, you on a horse would create enough of a distraction."

"It depends on terrain, I suppose. But I can bring Sakura with us, if we go by train. The horse, not the student." She smiles, trying to add some levity to her wife's seriousness. "If you ask me to turn away from you when you fight, I will. But if you tell me to watch your back, to fight beside you to see you at your worst, I will too."

Fuyu shakes her head. "If it is desperate, then there is no shame in it. I will show my eye and face to those who are there and...hopefully the others wont shun me for it. They won't think me an Oni."

She is serious as she says this. She would die to defend Fuyuko's Honor, if it came to that. Though she knows Fuyuko can defend her own Honor, if allowed a duel. In pitched combat, though, a duel isn't always a viable option. The Utaku knows this. She suspects many of the others would overwhelm her in battle, but that didn't mean she wouldn't make the attempt.
"If you think my being on horseback can distract people from noticing your blessing, I will happily ride into battle. My biggest worry is that you will think less of me if I react poorly to the sight of your blessing."
