"Yeah, sounds like you're quite taken with her. Must be nice to feel that intensely about someone." He pauses, thinks that statement through. Did he feel that way about Ryuha? A moment of thought told him no, he didn't. But he felt strongly about her nonetheless. "And to have that someone feel the same way."
As a precaution, he puts on his helmet decorated with the names of his friends.

He rather pointedly does not say anything about the dating and love and building. He hadn't actually proposed to her, but he and Ryuha did make plans to neet each other's parents. He'd agreed to take the wrath of an ancient curse out of his feelings for her. It was quick, it was sudden, it was…
