that was enough to break Ichiro's trance and he burst out laughing at the absurdity of the situation. He never would have thought to offer that up, at least not until Hinata had a chance to get to know him and Uetani better and you know wasn't dating the freaking prince. He restrained his laughter rather quickly and lucky the levity had aided in reducing the growing problem in his shorts.

Kobushi coughed loudly at Rodrigo's sudden offer. It was sort of the last thing he was thinking of, and now suddenly he's trying very hard not to consider it. He takes a deep breath, tries to center himself. And as he finds a place to sit, instinct drifts to that pottery lesson with Ryuha. Yeah, it took this long for him to realize what the Jigoku he was doing then.
He decides he was better off on his feet and finding a very cold drink.

Momiko was half oblivious, apart from the ball hitting Yoshi in the head, which caused her to wince, "Watch out there Ichiro-kun; And here Yoshi-kun." She handed the spray sunblock she'd used before turning to lead the way, "Come on, the net's over this way; Let's get going!" The energetic young woman jogged off across the the sand from the stairs they'd all been standing near, waving back to them. "Thanks," Yoshi replies to Momiko, both for her concern about his head and for the sunblock which he took and used before jogging after her, a little slower due to being laden with all their supplies. This means that he was still around to see... She began applying the sunscreen to her front in a manner that was...perhaps a bit more sensual than it needed to be. This was entirely intentional on her part; she was feeling a bit mischievous. Teasing people was always fun. Despite his admissions in the Library the night before, today Yoshi only has eyes for Momiko, sparing Hinata and Nade's display only the barest of glances before joining his girlfriend by the volleyball net. He even has the presence of mind to place their bags down on opposite ends of the area, to mark where the ball would be considered out, and then stands next to her. Mayumi followed suit standing next to Momiko. "so what are the teams again? i think the boys got distracted when we were trying to make them." she covered her mouth and giggled a little. "I believe the original plan was you and myself Agasha-san and Yoshi-san with momiko-chan. then maybe rodrigo-san and nade-san with yoshi-san and we get Hinata-san and kiki-san." He turned to Joo-eun and Koko and if you two would like to join just hop in, it's for fun anyway." Yoshi bows to Mayumi and nods in agreement with Ichiro. He then looks back to Horiuchi Nadeshiko, Isawa Kokoro, and Utaku Joo-Eun to see if any were still interested. [OOC - I was going to make a side-thread for volleyball, but I realized nearly everyone who was already in this thread was interested or invited, so it seems more logical for V-ball to just continue here. If the uninterested would prefer to have it separated, we still can, or they can make their own tangental thread? Thanks!] |

"No... that is final missy." She crossed her arms. "You play if you want to I am not playing."
Kiki begged but it was fruitless.

Nade grabbed the sunscreen from Hinata just before she dropped it, making sure it didn't hit the sand. She filled her own hands with the goop and started to apply it herself, working it into her skin and making sure to get all the exposed parts as she chats with Hinata about silly girl things while putting on a show for everyone else at the beach. She wasn't as sexy as Hinata in the application department but she was still pretty hot.

Truthfully, Momiko had never actually played volleyball before either. So as athletic as she was, the coordination and such didn't come natural. She even missed the bump from Mayumi, somewhat ruining her natural grace. "Darn it. Okay, let's try this again." She tosses the ball back to Mayumi, "Try passing it to someone else." {Volleyball = 13} |

Once Nadeshiko was done applying sunscreen to herself, Hinata turned her back to her so that she could apply sunscreen to it. As she did so, she remembered something.
"Oh, Nadeshiko, you're good with the earth kami, right?"

"That is my affinity yes" she murmurs, gathering up some more sunscreen to lather over Hinatas back, digging fingers into her goth friends pale skin, working the lotion everywhere she could and just for good measure under the straps of her bikini top.

"Mm, I do. I found out what Koshiro-kun was so concerned about: he wants to bring his mother's boat up from the bottom of the lake. The boat itself has been found, so the current plan is to get a group of shugenja to raise it up from the bottom of the lake. With you, we'd have five."
Hinata looked across the beach, looking for Koko.
"I was thinking of asking Isawa Koko-san as well."
