...and there she was mothering again. The boy was wearing a helmet, naturally no more damage could have been done, right? Then again, a helmet did not absorb all of the shock from a blow.

He pauses at the question. He runs through his usual mental checklist. All of his parts still seemed functional. He knew how many fingers he was holding up. Other than the Isawa twins, he wasn't seeing double. He couldn't hear the sounds of screaming. Blood wasn't coming out of his nose. And he wasn't on fire.
"Yeah, I'm fine," he answers. "Think the helmet and padding took most of the hit. But thanks for the concern."

Off Kobushi's head Momiko bumps it up with her forearms, the ball going high and arcing over the net.

Yoshi smiles and nods at Momiko after she sends the ball into the opposing team's side of the court. He watches it fall, hoping it doesn't hit Hinata while she's distracted making sure that Kobushi wasn't hurt. That left Kiki, Mayumi, and Ichiro to potentially return the shot, and the Dragon readied himself for the possibility, especially from the athletic Lion.

Kiki moved to hit the ball. The poor girl hit it to the out of bounds. It could be rescued by someone.
Koko just shook her head as she watch the game.

Ichiro ran and dove just barely stopping it from going out of bounds he just managed to get the ball going the right way but it hit the net and landed on their side. Ichiro hopped up and ran back to reset stopping to give Kiki a couple scritches behind the ear "good try, you'll get the hang of it." His smile was broad and genuine as he looked down at the little fox and then he was in place ready for the next volley.
