Ryouko glanced back at the teacher, nodding slightly to show she had listened, but didn't add anything. As soon as she was done unpacking Daisuke's thing she bowed stiffly to the group before stalking off with her own suitcase and bags toward the dormitories.
She still hadn't properly introduced herself.

Seijuro frowned deeply at Ryouko as she left. It appeared at least one Utaku was too stubborn or proud to remember that Courtesy was a virtue.

Joo-Eun gives Seijuro a look that seems to say 'Battle Maidens, am I right?' and sighs, then taking some initiative, bowing to the group.
"Apologies for the discourtesy of my cousin towards you all. She is just a little exhausted from the long day's travel from Unicorn lands, and meant no insult or disrespect."
Because clearly, she's wanting things to go smoothly from here on and someone apologizing for the lack of courtesy shown may go a long way to defusing that tension.

Well that could have gone better but at least no one ended up being mauled or trampled, he thought. "Yes probably just trying to get everything sorted before school starts tomorrow." Takezou says agreeing with the Utaku.
He turns to Genji. "You have quite a way with the animals Sensei. I look forward to learning more from you in class."

Genji smiles to Takezou, "Seems to be a gift I was born with, Shinjo-san. They just naturally gravitate to me for some reason I've yet to fathom. I'll take it as a blessing of the Kami."
Then to Akiko, another offer of apology and a bow. "Please accept our humblest apologies for Utaku-san's behavior, Matsu-san." He turns to Joo-Eun, noting, "Have you met her before today?"

Arasou makes himself busy by pawing at Akiko, making it clear to the girl that he wanted the head scratches he had missed on with Daisuke being take away. Reaching downwards she begins to scratch gently behind one of his ears. The awkwardness of being in a group of people was returning now that her anger was dying down. Quietly she looked away from the group, finding it easier to speak if she didn't have to meet anyone's eye.
"It's alright..." Her teeth work against the inside of her cheek. "I've never met her before...no. I'm a transfer student. It's only people like Akodo-san from the Lion Clan that I may know..." Trailing off the Matsu leans down and begins to rub the belly of her panther, who had rolled onto his back and started batting at her legs for attention. "I didn't mean to cause trouble.."

"Met the Shiotome? Nope. I haven't. I don't tend to have many friends in that branch of the family, mostly because their idea of a good time involved horses, and mine does not," Joo-Eun replies, "But she is probably related to me somewhere along the line and my parents taught me to look after family, no matter how distant."

"It is fine, Utaku-san. I understand the Shiotome can be prickly at times. I have had to dance around the wrath of quite a few Matsu-ko in my time."

Genji nods to both girls, then turns back to where Ryouko left. "You didn't cause trouble, Matsu-san. As I said before, you're not the first student to show up to the stables with a battle cat or even a pack of war dogs; you won't be the last, and the animals do have to spend some time around each other so they know how to work side-by-side when needed. Which reminds me..."
He grins a little, "Weather permitting, our first class will be outside, with our companions present but kept so that there aren't any incidents."

Akiko perks up a bit at the words of the Sensei, showing some small form of excited at the prospect of having a class outside. "We never had classes outside at my old school.." Her voice is quiet but it was still more words than she had spoken outside of her exchange with the Utaku.
