- "hey did hear that kuni girl banged that expelled lion?" "what? he's such a bad boy." "why do you look like that?" "blushing N-Nothing"
- "Do you know how many people were doing it in the water at the beach?" "It'd take less time to list the people who weren't."
- "Kuni Hinata has been spending a lot of time in the Library lately." "Has anyone even written 'How to be an Empress for Dummies'?"
- "Hey, you know that ronin boy? The creepy looking one?" "Yeah, what about him?" "I heard he tried to drown himself. Bayushi Yokohime-sensei had to pull him out of the lake." "Really? Wow, his clan isn't gonna be happy about that." "...dude, ronin." "Oh, right."
- "Did you know Kuni Hinata-san and Horiuchi Nadeshiko-san are together?" "I mean yeah, they're friends." "No, like, gay together." "...okay, that's like the third rumor that Kuni Hinata-san is gay. Have any of these been true?" "I mean...no, but this one has some weight to it. They were all over eachother at the beach!"

Okay, now the rumors were getting nasty and hurtful. If he couldn't put an end to them, no one could. By the end of the first class period, a severely displeased prince Iweko Yoshinobu has successfully investigated the source of each rumor involving his girlfriend Hinata. His on betrayed his hurt and anger, as he confronted those who were spreading the falsehoods and built a decent sized crowd that followed to see what would happen. One of them, a Crane he had seen at the beach yesterday, was so shamed that he offered seppuku. As the onlookers watched with bated breath to see what the Prince would decide, he told the young man the three cuts were too honorable a death for him and left the Doji to wallow in his own shame. The bleak, grey skies made for a good mirror of the Prince's mood for the rest of the day.
