Among the many things that Utaku Hisui studied in life were omens. The little hints and signs, portents of things to come or subtle messages from the Fortubes themselves. She didn't know how to interpret them, necessarily, but she had a good idea of how to spot them. In the aftermath of what happened at the lake, she returned to her quarters. She looked through her clothes and belongings, trying to find something nice enough to wear to her own wedding. Not the easiest thing in the world, she thought. Until she found it. A wedding kimono. One that was different from what she wore before. She acquired it for herself, but it never saw use. And she was sure she didn't bring it with her. The work of the dream, she guessed. Suitably dressed, she made her way to the temples. Doji Fuyuko was probably there already, waiting for her bride. Kuni Hinata too, as the one to officiate things. At the bare minimum, the three of them were all that were needed. But a wedding was rarely ever just the bare minimum. Family had to be there, too. Otomo Mako, Kakita Uetani, Bayushi Yokohime. Friends, as well. Ryudo Akane, Mirumoto Aiko. Even Sakura no Yokai, a friend long since departed. Of course, Hisui would never dream of closing the temples. If anyone stumbled upon the ceremony, they were most certainly free to celebrate with her. Before the world came to an end.

Hinata waited at the makeshift altar they had set up for the occasion, dressed in the most traditional garb she had: an old, expensive looking kimono. It was perhaps not the vestments expected of a shugenja officiating a wedding, but she had not brought those with her. She had hardly expected to be acting on such official business, even if the wedding was an unofficial affair.
She did her best to look composed as she waited, but internally she was trying to remember what to do. She had been taught all of this, yes, but it had been before her gempukku. She had not brushed up on wedding rituals for years. She hoped she would not mess this up.

The tiny crane approaches, a bouquet of blue and purple roses in her hand and wearing a traditional gajin wedding gown in addition to her eye-patch. She had not owned these things before but they were in her closet when she checked. One of the benefits of being a creature of dream she supposed. Perhaps she could try to wear a different dress every hour then while the dream allowed? Still for now she stands at the ready, looking over to Hisui and smiling at her dress. She raises her symbol of Emma-o to her lips, giving a kiss of thanks. Dress

Hisui should have know that now a sore Yoko would arrive dressed in more the colors of her current clan. Saito has agreed that she is a worthy Scorpion so it is proper for her to wear this dress.

Hisui stands not far from Hinata. There is a stupidly happy smile on her face. It clashes quite a bit with the implied serenity of her attire and the general mood of the skies above them. She wanted to see more friends and family there, but sometimes even dreams couldn't grant everything. Still, Yoko was there and the Utaku gives her friend a little wave.
She looks at the approaching Crane. "Isn't she just lovely?"

Koshiro arrived at the temples as well. Not for a wedding though, he had no idea such was happening. He had come to pray and give thanks to the Fortunes for the return of the Salty Goblin. Also to wait for the lunch that Yoshi had invited their group to have at the temples for some reason. What he found when he got here was... surprising to say the least. Two female sensei marrying each other? And it looks like... Hinata-san is officiating this wedding? This morning was turning out quite full of the unexpected. He hadn't been invited to this wedding, and he was terribly underdressed for the occasion, so he keeps to the side and watches it quietly with a as-much-as-he-could-possibly-make-it-look-pleasant smile.

Priya stands and watches her teachers wed with a smile. She doesn't interupt or force herself on any of the other company, just watching the events unfold. This is a good ending to the story, and one that she is honoured to witness.

Uetani is oh so proud to be there as her mothers marry. She sits, happy as the two join together.
She does not cry, but she does smile, her emotion evident and unhidden. Happiness. This moment is one of joy and happiness, and cannot be easily undone

Ichiro was there he figured if he was to be part of their family (formally or informally) it would be a good place to be. He sat on one side of Uetani and smiled as well. It was romantic as hell and he was happy for them.

Fuyuko looks to those who gathered to watch her, giving them a small bow and spotting Koshiro she gestures him over to the main group with her head. He of all people should be there, the symbol of her past now here to witness her present before her grim future. She begins to walk over slowly, trying to keep as much of the tradition as possible, after all if you want to meet someone, meet them when nothing matters and even in the face of oblivion, fuyu was a traditionalist and would do this as right as she could.
She keeps her expression and ON even but one can see the glow of joy off her.
