For possibly their final lunch together, Yoshi invited Kuni Hinata, Daidoji Kobushi, Koshiro, and Horiuchi Nadeshiko to join him at the Campus Temples. It wasn't a usual place to have lunch, but the temples had always brought a sense of calm and contentment to the young Dragon, and he hoped to share that with his closest friends at a time when anxiety about the future was likely running high. Just outside the main building that held the individual shrines to the Seven, Yoshi waits with his lunch tray from the cafeteria on a bench by a small, well-tended garden. |

Kobushi arrives first, carrying with him some cold drinks and sandwiches. The oncoming end of their world didn't give him much of an appetite, though he appreciated the sentiment behind the place where their final meeting would be. If there was ever a time to pray for anything, it was at the end of the world. Sure, it wasn't the end of Daidoji Kobushi, but it was close enough for this specific incarnation of him.
He nods to the Tamori as greeting, hands him the cold macha he got from a vending machine, and sits down.
"Am I early or are the others late?"

"Well, I think you're early," Yoshi reasons, "because the rest of them are shugenja, and as the saying goes, shugenja are never early nor are they late; they always arrive precisely when they mean to." He chuckles as he inclines his head in thanks for the macha.

"You mean like just now?" Hinata asked, jesting as she strode in.
"The temples for lunch? That's an interesting choice. Not a bad one though."
She took a seat with the others and set her food down, nodding to them.

Kobushi laughs, and then nods back to Yoshi and Hinata. He offers another can of macha to Hinata.
"Seems like a good fit to me," the Crane says.

Hinata took the can of macha.
"Thank you."
She popped it open and took a sip.
"So, how are you two doing?"

"Given that the world is about to end? I think I'm doing pretty well," Kobushi answers before he pops his own drink open and sips. "School's quieter than I'm used to, and I didn't see a lot of people around, though. Feels kind of empty."
"How about you?"

Koshiro arrives soon as well, looking like he might've just woken from a rest. "Sorry, forgot to set my phone alarm to wake me up from my rest before lunch. Been here since earlier, saw a wedding happening around here earlier. Did Hinata-san tell you about it already?"

"I always feel... better... in this place," Yoshi explains his choice of venue to Hinata and answers her question at once, cracking open his macha can as he does. "I mean, I'm still worried how the decision about Goemon-no-kami will go, but being here reminds me to have faith that everything will turn out for the best either way. Although... I'm pretty sure at this point that Momiko is trapped outside the fog at her mother's mansion." He looks down at his tray as he says this, almost missing Koshiro's approach.
"Oh, hey, Koshiro," he greets him, forcing a smile. "A wedding.... That's nice." He looks to both the ronin and Hinata for more details.

"Wedding? Who got married?" A pause as he hands Koshiro a drink. "And what would be the point? This is all a dream anyway. It wouldn't be legally binding."
